Hi Guys, My math exams are coming up really soon and I'm afraid I cant post for quite some time. Of course I'll check in some times but I will most likely not be posting for quite some time since I need to study for the exam. This is a Final High School International Baccalaureate Exam and will close my High School Math career. Next year I will be taking all my other exams (Spanish, French, English, Chemistry, Economics) but as this is my only exam this year, I am focusing hard to have a bit piece of mind with a good start. Just wanted to say thanks for all of your help with things and that I'm not dropping off the face of the earth but above all is my education, that is something irreplaceable. Hope you understand. All the best, Floris

To keep the forum in english, as is contained in the rules and general interest of the members. Marktplaats - the dutch based ebay owned corporation is nowadays flooded with just as much scammer based products; such as A Rolex Submariner G/S for 1,000 Euros to a bank in Nigeria. ANY watch/cellphone/laptop/ipod you list will be contacted within 24 hours by a scammer offering 5 times your asking price and a shipping address to nigeria for immediate deposit/departure scheme. Also, translators are used. So you think its a dutch person but they just write the email to you in english and pass it through a translator. Therefore all emails you respond in dutch are then once again translated for them to read in for example English. Kind Regards, Floris P.S. The watch is either a rep, the guy doesnt know what he owns, a scam, or plated....My guess? plated rep. Its one of those "but I didnt know it was a rep" sellers. -

Hey Rolexman, marktplaats? ebay? 2dehands? kapaza? full of scammers these days. -
did you try directly from ebay and typing in the name? its just a watch..... Maybe because its a watch from WWII and that term is blocked in germany?? from the auction:
-
a newbie bidded on it 3 times in a row.....something fishy....
-
DAMN, another meaning of vintage to me, hahah! @slay:....I did not get that weird message, WTF indeed!!
-
Well I am one teen that will continue to wear watches! By the way, the people interviewed didnt seem too bright. One kid uses his watch for a house clock, the other said theres no use for a watch like no use for a hat (a cap helps against the sun, and a wool one to keep you warm), and another said it was out of style because grannie has one! Anyway, I aint changing! Although, I dont have a watch now (already thoroughly discussed), at school use my cellphone now to tell the time.

THE law on buying, selling, and owning reps
Dutchy replied to Craytonic's topic in General Discussion
Wow! Thanks for taking the time to post that, very interesting. I hate the way these guys use those words that confuse you even more.... -
The hunt is the coolest. Though the addiction is not.
-
Gen parts that may be added and also because people who have the watch can USUALLY afford the service. After all, not THAT many people buy a 10k watch (I know a lot do but in comparison to brand like Swatch) and these guys have to make revenue as much as they can.
-
True....but dont forget...gen parts may be installed etc.... its a GENUINE rip off
-
Oh man, those things made me sick... In my ACTUAL community (direct friends, family, etc) they hate Rolex, DESPISE it. they believe its a pimp watch. Why? BECAUSE NONE OF THEM REMEMBERS/KNOWS THE OLD STYLES! The beauty they held and still hold. The oyster, the sea dwellers, the submariners, the daytonas, the explorers, etc etc without the bells and whistles! All these things that Rolex invented are now accepted as normal things by many people (as for example invicta is even doin it, exact replicas of all models). Times change. P.S. Fully right about the AP's and Patek's and VC's....hope they stay that way...
-
Ok, this is like my 5th post already in this thread.....dont wanna be an interference here. Anyway, again FULLY agree. I said it before, but I forgot about it! Anyway, EXACTLY! What does a gen owner otherwise have to say about their watches? - Also, the service costs of a gen. - The insecurity (to me at least) of where you go.....will it be safe? - the cost of acquiring it These three things apply to me personally, dont know about you guys.
-
Not at all criticize them. However, I feel that like guys at my school with their cars and gen subs etc....they just do it to show off...couldnt care less what a rolex really is, etc. Now, I understand that though....its fun to show off (I think so...may be the age, whatever). Anyway, yes....we all have our values!
-
As a follow up to my previous post, thats exactly what I meant.
-
Absolutely. Fully agree. Just stating that I personally am not thinking of purchasing a gen for the financial aspect is just too important and that reps to me are just as good! But indeed, both have their points, no arguing in that!
-
admin. I can understand that you are getting tired of a watch. There are SO many out there that spark your, mine, and all of our interests and we just want more and more! That is a reason personally at this time I wouldnt consider a genuine of any big name (in accordance with my financial situation, but also for the aforementioned 'interest'). P.S. Believe me, it'll be years before I will get tired of the octagonal baby though!

Dude im here almost 24/7....I dont sleep.....Im dutch
-
dudechicky? Ah man....is that gonna catch on? hahaha.....by the way, who'd you say that to again originally?
-
@ Ethan, translation = Leave it in English therefore you are leaning and practicing it.
