Hi,
Just received a 1680 from Trevor for conversion to a 5513.
Good looking watch but there is an issue with the bezel.
It is slightly loose and when you rotate it, it glides round smoothly rather than ratcheting round.
Also, the insert is slightly loose too.
It was quite a wait to get this vintage sub so not that keen to send it back.
Can this be fixed easily?
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
I am looking at this 5513 http://v.yupoo.com/photos/trevorwatch/albums/8087241/
Amongst other mods/ changes, I want to change the crystal and another member advised a T19 Crystal from Sternkreuz
I can't seem to find one anywhere!
Anyone have one/ know where I can find one?
Thanks in advance

Hi,
I would like to get a gilt gloss dial for the 1016 but.....
Yuki does not look very authentic to me (http://www.yukiwatch.com/catalog/item/8677844/9940332.htm)
NDT not available
Chrono shop too expensive
Raffles time looks ok but 29mm (http://rafflestime.com/vintage-explorer-gold-gilt-dial-for-dg-eta-dial-29mm-yellow-lume/)
What's the best option?
Thanks for your opinions ......

Hi All,
I moved house recently and in the process scuffed and scratched the plexi on my 1016. Got the polywatch out and it came up great.
I then decided to do the case and that came up great too.
Does anyone else use polywatch on the case or a similar product?

No Problem Jack, I haven't taken it off in 2 months and I used to change watches every day!

More magic from RJ, well done!!
My interest is vintage rolex sports, and the 1016 is my favourite.
This one looks great, such a slim and elegant profile!
I don't know about everyone else but I love looking at RJ's watches.
He's also great to deal with, very helpful, reliable and always delivers on what he says.
A real asset to our forum and a great member!

Just been looking at "Vintage Rolex Sports Models" by Martin Skeet/ Nick Ural.
Gives the case diameter of the 1016 as 35.5mm.....
-
Just measured it with my new calipers!
The diameter of this case including crown is 38mm.
The crown is a gen 600, so not sure what diameter this makes the case....

Many thanks for all your replies and comments, much appreciated!
Does anyone know what colour the lume would have been on a 1016 from this era?
