  1. That's definitely why people stay up here. I don't get much of it in the "city" besides moose. Moose everywhere. I haven't seen the Ospreys. I'll have to look them up online to hear the sound in action. They look big though. I really like to see birds of prey in action. We actually went to the zoo recently just to see how much it's changed. Turns out, not much. But it was still a decent visit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I didn't. I usually don't catch local news unless I'm off shift for a bit. I'm somewhat surprised how much people are making of this visit, but maybe that's because I've been able to a void all of it. That area is very nice. I haven't been to the creek in a long time now, but I always gaze at everything on the way to Girdwood.
  3. I was born in Fairbanks, but raised in Anchorage. I briefly lived in Dillingham as a child, too young to remember it much, I'm glad I'm not there right now though. I can't even force myself to watch any of the Alaska based "reality" shows. Nauseating performances by these people. I understand that you're from Alaska as well, I was thinking near the anchorage bowl if I remember correctly. I've actually added a couple of your threads to my favorites, I make sure to check out the big gonzo build every once in awhile to remind myself how a good vintage is done [emoji108]

  5. I'll try to email Andrew after a little more research. Tried to access the link but I don't have the permissions. But since I'm registered at repgeek now I'll browse over there a bit. Thanks again!
  6. Thank you for the kind welcome! I'm happy to have found this place. There's a lot to be learned. I have read about the fading ceramic bezels but may have been confused that maybe not all ceramics suffered from this trait. I was also looking at the Liquidmetal version of this watch from Noob, but it has Asian movement and I really do want Swiss movement because I read that they are much easier to service. I'm not sure which version this is, but it shows as new release. Here is the description of the watch from trusty. Does this help identify which rep it is exactly? 7. Hi Everyone, I'm new to the forum and hoping to get a bit of advice before my first rep purchase. Reading through the forum led me to Trustytime to shop for a PO. It has been challenging to browse over the past few days with the site being down most of the first two days, but today I was able to access it without it problems. I feel I have it narrowed down to 2 models, the OMG0154 and OMG0246. To me tey seem identical with the exception being the latter's clear case back. Is that the only difference between the two? Or is there more that sets them apart? Also, is this a reputable rep to get me into the hobby with minimal needed fuss or work for the inexperienced? Thanks for any input! -UDK
