I had the exact same thing happen to my 111 when it arrived. I opened the back and it turned out there was some fuzz in the movement stuck between two gears. Once I pulled the fuzz out and blew out the movement it has worked perfect for months.
That's what I would do. Some watches simply aren't worth the $10k price tags and the rep even at $1k with mods and new band are just as good. Some watches aren't rep'd well and you need to buy gen for. If you are new to watches I'd say buy some reps and see what you end up loving and where you want to spend the big money.
Some key ones missing I think. Blancpain Fifty Fathoms is the one that stands out to me then the TCv6 and V6 Royal Oak Diver. Can't go wrong with any of them I think.
Great watch. I get lots of compliments with mine. The seconds do seem to hesitate but mine has been running since January with no issues. I figure I'll get another one if it dies.
My recommendation is to replace the strap right away though. The one it comes with is pretty bad. I got a gen blue alligator strap and it made all the difference!

Simply beautiful! I was on the fence about ordering this one but your post convinced me. The Navitimer was always one of my favorites but the previous flaws in the reps were just too big for me to get one. This one is finally close enough that I can be happy with it. I just wish they offered it with a leather band and deployment clasp. I'll have to add those later myself.
Thanks for the great review and all the amazing pictures!
