  1. hate to say it but i told you so :whistling: .. $80 too much $ for canal st specials  ..

the SS on their watch are plated so carefull where you wear the watch ..

Naaaa , I didn't loose a penny , the old lady wanted to go on a shopping trip with her friends from work and it was with her money not mine :winkiss:

I told her to have a look around Canal St and IF there was anything good to take a pic with her camera phone and send it to me , well she got home and presented me with this junk ...

She went to shop and shop she did , you should see all her F'ing shoes if you think the watches are bad :black_eye:

The minute she stepped off of the bus a guy said "want to buy a Rolex , $10 bux"

She goes every year on this trip with the girls from work , maybe next year she will know better

  2. 4 years? I recall the seconds at 6' model is less than 2 years old... it got introduced 2005 I think.

I bought it within the first two weeks of the Asian 7750 debut in the Daytona , I was taking a guess at 3 years and change but all I can remember is that it was awhile back ( I think :wounded1: )

  3. Well my wife got home today from NY NY , as you can see she did make it to Canal St. and bought some pretty good junk ...

Here is an $80.00 Pam GMT , the first thing I noticed was all the scratches ( she didn't ) then when I flipped it over there looks like what is supposed to be a rotor cover just floating around inside the case which has now been corrected ( she didn't notice that either )

She also got a Breitling Navitimer ( both for $80 BTW ) but it's not even worth posting ...

I will wear this watch ( Pam ) when I am working on the car or cutting the grass but I definitely won't wear it out !

It also has a SS bracelet with a butterfly clasp (??) that desperately needs some polishing ...

The white dial sticks out like a sore thumb on my skinny A$$ wrist but the only good thing about it is that I sure don't need reading glasses to see what time it is ...

( Don't laugh now folks as this is a woman that knows nothing about watches at all especially Reps !! )

  4. I own 4 Daytonas with the oldest being almost 4 years old and their all still ticking so what can I say ...

I barley if never use the chronos ...

They can be very erratic at first so if the time is all over the place don't worry about it just yet as it takes about 6 months for it to settle down , for the first 3 months it could run about 5 - 10 minutes fast per day and then the next 3 months run about 5 - 10 slow per day and then after that it will just settle down ( at least mine did ) like I said , so far so good for me ...

I believe in "buy what you like , buy what you want" their all reps and your taking a chance from the first minute you click 'Pay' so what the hell , if one of mine dies that I really like I would buy another to replace it plain & simple , now if they died in a matter of just weeks after purchase that would be the end of that model for me but fortunately that hasn't happened ...

  5. Like you I have about the same size wrist but with allot more hair , I find that the larger size watches look fine and so do other people as I get lots of compliments and that watch looks great on you !!!

My wife wears a 38mm watch and it looks fine on her but It feels to small for me ??

I never have bought a Pam as I don't like leather , with small wrists I feel that the leather is wearing me and I am not wearing the leather so I stay away from it for that reason only , it just isn't comfortable and the buckle goes half way around my wrist at the top ...

Right now BIG is in so don't worry about it , that watch fits you fine and my next purchase will be the Swiss TT Chronomat Evo ..

  6. I really don't think there is anything to worry about ..

A couple of my Daytonas with the 7750 ran about 5 minutes fast per day for the first 3 months then 5 mins slow for the next 3 and then they stabilized to almost correct time after 6 months ...

I wouldn't send it out just yet but if you think it is indeed need of help ask The Zigmeister ..

  7. I use dielectric grease , looks like clear silicone but never dries , I also use this on all my gaskets too as it repels water real good ..

It's main use was on car parts like spark plug boots , distributor caps and so on ...
