  1. This vintage model is great too!!
  2. I tried this on the other day and was amazed how great it looked....anyone else?
  3. Ruby, Pictures of the watch and a detailed descrpition of why this is the"Best" version would be great... Every dealer says there watch is the best version as does every guy in chinatown. No one will be disappointed if they know exactly what they are getting. Thanks so much
  4. You do not really think the dealers care who orders? newbie or not....... They want that money in the paypal account and they give you the best service they can get away with to keep there reputations up. That is like going to a strip club and thinking the strippers actually like you. They could care less..... Reps are made just good enough so that people will buy them...no better.. Dealers are doing this for profit not because they enjoy posting on the board....and rightly they should be.
  5. Make mine black with SS bracelet
  6. would you have wanted to wait 100 posts before getting your first watch?... come on
  7. Devil's advocate.... Seems like though we are making an environment that we cannot complain about dealers if we need to. I have had some issues in my order history I have not said anything about it because I know I would get flamed and the posting would end up being 20 posts after mine saying...... "XXXXXX, you are the best. I love you and want to have your babies and that guy is crazy and you have the best watches in the universe." That is dangerous I think. I know what people are saying about noobs though.....my first watch order i was scared and it was shady compared to a "regular" ebay purchase or internet order....a tracking number that did not work, a dealer that after the order kinda disappered....a paypal to a random person i did not know....sometimes the 1st time is a little tough and requires a leap of faith....
  8. Thanks Kruzer... good to know and a simple answer to my original post. The Zigmeister, I have learned more about the process from the thread and I am glad I posted it and to be honest I am sure it will garner you more work. I did not know about the process and now I do. Yes that photo is very nice as is all of your work. Are hand relumed numbers fatter and not as razor sharp as unlumed?.......yes they are...I have learned that from your posts....never said i could not live with it...just want to be informed. Your first post about it did not take it personally so yes you should not...... You said that when you do it by hand that happens and that it is done by computer on the gen....makes sense......could not be as clean. Seems like you are not going to do my work anyway now...haha....so i guess I am stuck with a dim PAM Sorry for the insult if you felt that way.
  9. Simply no reason for you to take my questions personally like that.... I have wrote glowing compliments about your work in other posts on other forums too...... My question was about the process and what is possible and your other post answered that well. One thing i have learned here is the only discussion that is tolerated is people kissing each others asses. Your work is great and I was even going to send my 176H out to you. Lumed numbers end up looking fatter and sloppier and you point out that that is unavoidable and I understand that now. Nothing personal to anyone.
  10. That is about the craziest post I have have ever read and I have great respect for your posts and have learned alot from them.... OF COURSE I WANT THEM TO LOOK LIKE GENS..........EXACTLY EVEN you are joking right? We spend thousands of posts taling about this...we spend hours discussing this crown and that AR coating......blah blah...
  11. The panerai numbers looks a little fat now on that first photo? Is there no way to prevent that? I have seen that on a few show off photos....the watch looks amazing when glowing but in daylight the paint on areas are a little sloppy looking? Chad
  12. So if I was to send you a Panerai finepics it would be the same glow as the gen when you were done and no more? Chad
  13. I wanted to get some superlume done to a watch but was looking at photos and thinking that the gens do not look like that at all? Also a key question is, in daylight does the superlume make the parts the wrong color white? Superlume is cool but i am interesed in making a watch that looks like the gen. Chad
  14. That watch is horrid...get a refund!!
  15. I was not referring to anyone in particular but just my general experience.
  16. I was looking at the crowns yesterday on the gens and they are not as thick as the third party crowns that are being sold. In fact even my Josh 036 had a bigger crown than the gens...? The crowns on all the H series watches sold by our dealers actually look pretty close to correct. Anyone else notice this?
  17. My first photo posting.... Check out that dial!!! I love the base This might be lurking in the trades section
  18. The guy is a first class jerk no doubt about that and uncalled for....but can I say one thing as the devil's advocate I will not mention any dealer names of course but the amount of "mistakes" (crooked dials, dirt in the case, wrong watch) is astonishing in my order history. And the amount of time it takes to respond to an email order is usually about 5 min and a email letting the dealer know of a problem is certainly slower and getting something reshipped and sent back from china is a 3 week process. All the major dealers here do a GREAT job of providing some really cool products but just checking the watches more carefully before shipping would be amazing. But this dude is a jerk and andrew did an amazing job of trying to take care of him.
  19. That white on the font a FEW shades brighter than the gen....you could spot it as a fake in a second. The work done to it is amazing though...amazing
  20. I see about the different fonts..Thanks for the info. I guess my question is if his attention to detail is great and he does have some amazing stuff why are the fonts not perfect... that kind of thing is KEY....who cares about crowns and lumes when it is a fake from 2 feet away with incorrect fonts......
  21. I forgot to ask? Are there gens with those fonts? if so what models?
  22. I am just curious why anyone would buy these. No offense to anyone but the fonts are amazingly off on the dials? and if so...why not fix the fonts if he is worried about other details? are they trying to look like the gens or just something different? Chad
  23. I am curious if anyone knows anyone in the business that can answer why reps are made sometimes with such careful details to one thing but such sloppiness to others... The thin crown on the pams is one thing....I mean just measure the gen and make then that thick....it is not brain surgery nor more expensive. If the gen says L swiss L and the rep says T swiss T..............my question is why? Even the lume stuff......everyone wants stronger lume......on every watch it seems.....hey makers.....put strong lume on there....in bulk it will cost a dollar a watch at most. If the reps were not so good i would not ask but what is the deal with stupid mistakes?
