Anyone have experience with a package staying at "inbound at customs" for more than a few days and still getting the watch? This is in NYC in NY

well I have not "come around" people just like to take my pointing out flaws and run with them. Ironically, my watch has been at us customs for 2 1/2 days. Never happened before with any order, usually scanned and out of there in 30 mins according to tracking. I had a feeling one way or another I might never seen this watch. oh well.... i'll keep my fingers crossed.

I'll chime back in since it has returned to a discussion and not a flame war. First....about the date wheel....was not aware of gens having this problems and none of my reps have so i'll just retract that. I do not know everything and never claimed to be an expert. Admin... Yes I agree with what you are saying but my thoughts are this... I am really impressed with the reps and cannot believe their accuracy....and only believing that would make me shudder at simple issues... Take the big bang for example...the 10 and 20 are not lined up on the dial (a simple fix in whatever program they used to print the dials is the fix) but look at the case and strap etc........AMAZING. I could not believe it when I saw it. You must also know when a screw fell out that was annoying too. Someone put all that hard work into this watch and some factory worker cannot do his job right. It is a shame that is all......nothing I am going to lose sleep over. So my point is someone went to alot of trouble to make that case and they did an amazing job. It is a shame that the SIMPLE thing to get right things were left out. If the case was bad I would never notice the subdials... The iwc pilot looks fantastic in the photos....whoever did the dial and case did a great job. If the rep was crap I would have not even noticed the date being crooked. (i retract that this is a simple fix though based on all of your comments though) One thing I say to friends is that with rep you get ALOT for your money. I believe that. My posts might make you think otherwise but that is not the case. The fact that the reps are so good makes the easy fix flaws more painful. That statement certainly does not mean I am not satisfied or amazed with some of these watches.

I would not complain on the forums about these things.... You will get nasty PM's and flamed......people are very loyal to there dealers.

Do not worry... I will not be posting anymore in this forum as I stated before. but as a last comment..... I am stunned at the insulting posts and pms I have gotten. Funny how in my last post about the date wheel how I say TWICE, that the watch looks great. Also I just posted a glowing review for my big bang that has a missing screw!!!! I know that eddie was very dishonest with me and for me that does not fly even if I get the watch. Even in all my posts about him in most I say that I will be the first to post a glowing review for him and the watch when it gets here but that I was concerned with honesty and communication. I never used childish insults or insulted anyone back in the forum. I was only trying to improve the quailty of communication through our dealers. As far as nothing ever being good enough, I am shocked I am flamed so hard about the date wheel. As much modding and money goes into making things right you would think in a hobby forum like this that if there are 1500 posts about a cannon pin issue that I would not get personally insulted saying that the date bothers me.

Ok I will not waste my time on the forum anymore with this issue. I hope everyone enjoys there watches(that is what is important) and ill go back to being a fly on the wall... Good luck

right.... if pointing out flaws that could be fixed in future watches and striving for more honesty in our dealers and there transactions makes me sound like someone you would never want to deal with then you should not. You might buy a watch from me and get it exactly as described and a working tracking number the next morning.... shudder......it is not possible...they are just reps and anything goes...right guys... but seriously.....an honest question? If a crooked date (not even referring to this watch, because all the others could be just fine) is not a dealbreaker, why are you into fine watches and iwc's for that matter?.....they are about all the great details and appreciation of them? Crooked dates and the like are really not even on a 20 dollar timex I am not referring to the iwc pilot, there is no confirmation of a date problem on any other watch......but just a general question to the forum.

Well it looks very good but you do not have to settle when it comes to stuff like crooked dates and stuff that is easily fixable. Remember the orders were delayed for a o-ring being off by .01mm......If you handed your watch to my non watch nerd friends they would say right away......why is the date crooked? If I handed them an H series PAM they would not ask when the crown is not 1mm thicker.. I would have halted orders for the date. The obvious easy fix mistakes are not acceptable to me but the ones that are unavoidable like mvt issues and case design that might be too expensive for them to make or challenging are acceptable to me. Of course the date might be just fine on others watches but just wanted to say something about flaws and what I can live with and cannot. If they can reproduce the case on this big bang(awesome) I am wearing now they can align any date wheel! The watch itself looks really great though!

Is the "day" crooked on your watch like the photos in the other thread? Just curious Chad

I did not specify when I ordered but the photos all had stainless bracelet...... ? Do they all come with both? Chad

man I hate to say it and I know I will get flamed........ That date looks terrible.....Why make a limited edition piece with that? I know I am a whiner.....but is there a fix for this? because when I get mine that is going to drive me crazy..... I cannot see the blue AR coating that the gen has? Is it there? Otherwise....very nice!!

Well I am glad eddie has been honest and respectful to some people with there experiences because my experiences have left me with a bad taste in my mouth about reps. Congrats to those with the watch. Looking forward to pictures.

Well guess what!!! My tracking number does now work and the package was shipped on the 11th. So that is good news. But since I am whiner ...... He said it was shipped over a week ago so it was a white lie but this post is about good news and that is that the watch is on its way!!!

So will the lucky five that should have gotten there watches on fri or sat post pics or reviews?.......

I actually just reported the updated situation for me and tried to keep the personal comments out. I'll continue to do the same. Anyone one of the lucky 5 that eddie said would get the watch on Friday?.....i really doubt it. \

Finally got some emails from eddie. Here is a quote from eddie when I inquired about a tracking number and why mine has not worked in over a week. "it will go and click , and bling." oh ok....now I feel better. I cannot believe i worried about it. It took 15 exchanges to get him to admit when he said it was "forwarded" but if i asked if it has shipped he will not answer. He will only use the word "forwarded" and took a long to time to admit the date it had been "forwarded" During the beginning of the conversation he kept saying friday(he would not say which one) and then when i got him to give me a date it was not a friday. Tracking is still dead and eddie refuses to use the word "shipped" only forwarded.

It is a non standard screw driver...

I have emailed you many times and I have a dead tracking number. Could you explain why none of our tracking numbers work? I assume if we got one we are one of the lucky five. I assume you are not giving out tracking numbers for unshipped items. I appreciate your post and telling people to email you but you are not responding to them. Any info on this?
