If the dealers are advertising double ar and it is single I would like them to address this or least change the ads on there sites. I know people get more annoyed about people complaining about watches here than people getting bad watches but wouldn't it be nice if a super rep came out once that did not have hands and screws falling off of it and not living up to what they claimed it would. These guys keep raising prices and keep lowering QC and I still get flamed for nitpicking.......

Actually the older rep double AR does NOT look like the photos.... The photos look much worse

Because every photo posted looks nothing like gen/custom double AR or HBB/cousteau AR so I would like some more opinions.... Aren't you curious to know if you are getting what you pay for or if the AR is crap? (which looks like the case) The biggest tell in an IWC/Breitling rep is double AR. I see reps on the subway in NYC here all time the with no or single sided AR, but most importantly it just looks great. I see one breitling bentley with no AR get on the train uptown twice a week

I was curious because I have not seen one photo that looks like a cousteau or big bang as far as AR. Certainly it looks nothing like gen or a custom coated crystal from a few friends here. So either it is single sided or they have found a new source for double AR there that is inferior to older double AR watches.... ?? Any thoughts?

Looks like no double AR in the photos? That true? If so the collectors need to update there pages right away and take down the DOUBLE AR from the descriptions.

Honestly.... I looks like a real disappointment compared to the cousteau. That is just my opinion though.

Man I hate when people say this.... "these are reps and if you want perfection get a gen....blah blah blah" If you justify dealers sending you watches with second hands falling off then you keep getting that kind of QC. If you stand up for yourself and others who receive unacceptable GARBAGE then things might get better. Sure they are not going to have the fit and finish of a gen every time but come on......look at the photos in this thread of this watch. SAD.

I have an IWC pilot strap that is wearing a bit long(too much tail) It is on a buckle. In general does the metal that goes between your wrist and the strap on a deployant make it so you can wear it one hole bigger? Chad

Jakub Double AR Date Wheel Swap Gen Big Pilot Strap K2222's ar job was excellent and he even put in the date wheels for me! The 22m strap fits easily into this case. Actually it just slipped right in like it was made for it.

I have seen enough gold rolexs here with diamonds and the like to not be surprised by anyone's taste.

My watch was just finished by the great k2222 for a double AR and someone he works with said the watch is not steel but aluminum?(he did great work) It is one from Andrew. Are there variations in these watches?

The 111h was expensive but well worth it considering the cost of our other reps now. It is am OEM cashmere....you are right. I am probably only going to keep one....

I think davidsen watches are the most overrated items in the rep community and this is an excellent alternative that does not have a canal street quality dial. but... it is amazing we have the cousteau, big bangs....etc. and we have NO accurate H series dials or AR on pams.....shame.

the 005 is gen and 111h is vaccum's custom piece which is amazing. The lighting makes the dial look funny, Ill take some better pictures as soon as I can.

That 111 dial is so terrible.... what are you guys thinking buying this stuff.... wow...

I would try and source a standard rep dial and use the coffee, smoke or tea stain trick to get the whites a little less. I like your crown personally. If you are happy with the watch that is all that matters. I just get annoyed whenever I see Davidsen dials. I have a being made for me that will be here soon I will post. I think it is a nice alternative to the DSN. By the way That B and R strap combo above!!! :wub:

Lovely case..... but maybe before straps pick up a new dial. That dial has the old G series layout for the text and the numbers are cut too big and close to the edge. Davidsen....sigh With a standard rep H series dial with the fonts dyed to match the lume you would have a near perfect rep.

I picked up my first GEN pam 005, 30 mins after I received my 5th watch from josh/andrew that was defective or DOA. Just could not take it anymore. I do miss the variety though. So i have stated buying reps again. My first back....a bell and ross 03-92......did it work? nah...... 30 mins slow a day. Got a replacement quickly. Cannot set the date on it without winding it at the same time. Something to be said for not dealing with the BS. Something to be said for the variety. Tough call. I like the variety and community.
