  1. Yea, I did not appreciate the whole "pal" thing but no big deal. I did give the guy like 3 compliments and have praised his work in the forums before. Guess I hit a sore spot.
  2. WOW, that is impressive I will say
  3. I would send my watches out right now for relume and service if you were taking appts...... So do not take offense. I was not referring to you at all but you cannot disagree that there have been some terrible lume jobs posted on here through the years especally on pams. Like I said before it is an amazing job on the cousteau.
  4. That is a great job on the lume by hand....probably not possible to do better! but on that note..... I see the same problem here as I do with the PAM sausage dial relumes. It looks bumpy and sloppy upclose in the daytime on details. The human hand cannot do with the machine does here. I have never seen a PAM sausage dial relume that looked close to gen but I have seen ones that were very impressive and amazing for hand. I would rather have the tight clean dial and no glow. Anyone else notice this? Chad
  5. Amen! I mean look at the numbers on that thing. Looks like they were cut out by hand by a 3rd grader. They are too close to the edges and a little too large. DSN is the biggest mystery in all repland!!
  6. Well hmm....They can be ordered special....any bezel you like. But I have just looked at 30 or so random images and they are all polished. Offical site is polished and all timezone forum members watches are polished
  7. The silver/black big bang came in a polished black bezel and actually by mistake to the asian markets a brushed bezel in gen. So there is a batch out there of silver ones with the brushed bezel. This is also discussed at timezone. The black magic is only correct in the polished. but if you like the brushed, then hey....who cares. If you are concerned with accuracy then it is polished.
  8. Grab a polished bezel. Who ever sold you that sent you old stock. It should have a polished bezel. Check timezone forums for examples. Nice work otherwise!
  9. I was thinking of getting one also. I just asked andrew if any of the flaws had been address in these watches and he replied. "what flaws?" Of course he knows what I am talking about. I would take that as a "no, they still have flaws and I am not going to make sure they don't"
  10. The biggest flaw is one I have spotted across the room in NYC many times.... dial font is too white!
  11. In my person opinion and I know others love them. They are the most overratted watches in the rep world. The dial accuracy is just terrible. On the new 177H he finally got the font right but then cuts out the numbers too large. I could spot a davidsen as a rep in a heartbeat. If andrew or josh sold a watch with any of his dials they would be skewered on here. For some reason people are blind when it comes to this guy. His case work is nice though. He should just admit he cannot make a dial to save his life and get some help. I would be first in line for one of those watches.
  12. Guess a completely inaccurate font does not bother you.
  13. Pic #5 is hilarious! Looks great...would never notice it
  14. When the black and silver came out it was the same deal. Josh and Andrew had the polished bezel and other dealers the brushed....Dealers/makers are basically using whatever parts they can get there hands on for these hard to get bezels. The silver and black should be polished but hublot by mistake made about 500 for the asian market with brushed.(stated in timezone forums) So either for the silver and black could be correct. I believe the polished is still correct for the Magic.
  15. Did I lilttle digging... Gen.... Looks polished to me. Chad
  16. The watch looks great but it is not accurate... Look at the watch on josh and andrews site and the gen. It should have a polished bezel not the brushed. I had heard there were some black magic's out there with these bezels. I would ask for a polished glossy one. It is the correct one for the watch. If it does not bother you then great because it still looks cool.
  17. Just received a deployment as a replacement for a bad buckle watch...... the clasp is HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. Pretty much unwearable.
  18. I went to AD and there was no comparison....the gen is double AR and the rep is NOT EVEN CLOSE. From all angles you can tell. Find a way to get the AR done.....you will not be disappointed.
  19. I am surprised http://www.rwg.cc/members/Amazing-strap-fo...lot-t28459.html

    NY NY

Little italy....great food??? you are joking right.... Italian food in little italy is the equivlant of the reps that are sold on canal street. Junk for tourists.
  21. My friend recieved a new watch and has a QC issue with it.....shocker right The hands are not lined up properly....with the minute hand is on the hour the hour hand does not line up with a marker... Is this just a matter of opening the case and moving the hands without taking them off with tweezers? On the swiss ingy after you remove the case back is it hard to get the movement out? Getting the crown out hard? thanks for any help
  22. EASIEST WAY ON H SERIES.... very white dial font...... you can spot it from 6 feet away....the sandwich dial is subtle from a distance and the gen fonts are toned down to match. If you see a watch across the room and cannot see the numbers well but see a white "luminor" "panerai" that seems out of place colorwise......fake! H series are so overrated out of the box. look at my modded base in this section..........doesn't the white font just ruin the whole thing?
  23. My modded 176H on gen panerai croc I love it but isn't that too white font on the reps just one of the worst flaws that goes unscolded here in the forums......come on makers!!.....looks terrible
