I have worn it for the past few days. Really enjoy it. That AR though...it is shame....everytime I walk by a mirror and check it out on the wrist I see no dial...just glare....(my 112h is like this too, but my PO is ok) Do the same with my Big Bang and you see every little detail on the dial. Guess I should not be looking in the mirror so much though.... Had it next to the gen in NYC and only really difference is the AR. It is blue on the gen and dial just pops right out. It is not subtle. Guess I'll have to send it off for some AR from chieftang. One day the makers will learn to just do the AR right on every watch. I hate to go back on my whining. The date while annoying does not really bother me that much.

I'll post more pictures and review later. I am enjoying it and it seems to be fine. I just sized it and a bit of advice. I can see the spring buttons not working on the bottom if they were pressed in wrong or pressed too much, be careful. I had one that would not come back up but finally did. The date situation is pretty weird. The day changes at 3 on mine but the number at 12? Is that common? I think I can live with it though. The AR is really a shame. It is a really beautiful watch and for the "special project" label it seems not cost prohibitive to run this double sided. If I knew where to get the crystal off it would for sure be on the next AR run from chieftang. It is a great rep....a really great one. I do stand by my comments about eddie and the dishonesty and communication that occurred but he delivered a very nice watch.

My biggest problem with this watch and you have the gen so maybe a side by side will prove me wrong. The font is TOO white. I have seen a few of these in NYC around town and I can spot the fake from a few feet because the letters are so much whiter(especially from a side view) than the rest but with your superlume it might look more balanced. For me it is not so much about accuracy but the stock watch from josh or andrew just does not look right. The numbers are one color and the font is super white. Ruins the look of the watch from an aesthetic standpoint. My 112h is slightly less white and less words on the dial to notice. but i did see someone somewhere who did something to the dial to make the letters more natural color anyone remember that? Not comparing it to anything look at the second wrist shot....just does not look right to my eye, the text throws off the balance of the dial. The numbers should have more presence and the bold white takes away from this. I guess that is why gen panerai's are more ivory in color. It just looks better from a design standpoint. Sometimes if small flaws are still nice looking I do not care at all just the ones that are not that bother me. Like a date font...if it is a nice font and not crooked or anything i can live with it...if the font is a poor match to the dial then i cannot The mods look great though!!! Your lume is the perfect color!!

Well tommorow it will be one week stuck in customs...I let eddie know and this is the exact email I got back nothing more. (i was happy just to get anything from him) "my watch was in us custom over 3 months... until they notify my branch office to claim it personally at post office." thanks eddie.....I feel better now.

Congrats on getting yours! Sounds like everyone is enjoying it! Do you feel like it is worth the extra money? A high end rep? Just curious...... I consider a watch like a big bang high end project and that has double sided AR and no font type issues... Just curious if a project is a small high end one, how you guys feel about light AR and date wheel issues? (perfectly acceptable issues with our standard 200-300 rep) Is the only advantage to these projects that we just get a unique watch or is it accuracy too? Just curious what the forum thinks, since in all fairness we are paying more and to get a pilot chrono even with issues it is worth it to me because I love the gen. My point and question is what denotes a high end project that is 100 or so more vs. one that is not? quality wise?

For sport is another matter and I will not claim any knowledge on that but I was in vail, colorado for a week last month and did not see any frat boys oakley's on the mountain just regular frat boys with cheap goggles

Not hopeful.....been there for 5 mail days and I live about 5 miles from the customs office. Every other order has cleared in 45mins or less and always delivered the next morning or same day in one case. I'll keep waiting.

i do not know them very well because I would not be caught dead in them but of course that is my personal opinion not everyones I just associate it with the frat boy look. I would pair them with chewing tobacco and they must be worn on your head at all times especially night :) I saw oakley's in europe also.....on loud american tourists but hey whatever works for you, that is what is important

Of course to each his own but the majority of people I see wearing panerai's have been here in NYC, a few in tokyo, some when I was in paris and london. These guys are most likely not wearing sunglasses expect when they need to and they are probably not a widely used name product but a very high quality european pair that have a classic look and style or the last panerai I saw in NYC was on a girl and she had on a pair of john varvatos sunglasses. Ray-ban's.... do not think so If you cannot get your panerai at the mall then you cannot get the glasses you want to pair with them there either. One photo I saw here a year ago or so was a guy with a mullet, tattoos and a wife beater drinking a mountain dew wearing a fiddy......unless you are a rock star you are not fooling anyone with that. May sound snobby but these replicas are high priced luxury items that cater to a certain crowd. Partly for fashion and partly for the love of the mechanical watch. But you better believe panerai makes there money off the fashion crowd and those guys are not going to touch a pair of oakley's with a ten foot pole. In NYC there are a few tourist tells that me and friends have.....jean shorts, oakley's, hats with college logos(or any hat backward on a guy) and that short blond dyed middle aged female haircut. but of course you should wear what you like with your watches

From a style point of view, (in my opinion) I just mean that panerai and iwc are so elegant and classic. Oakley is mid america frat boy. Nothing wrong with either but you would not have combos with chilean sea bass.

uhhh....i just checked it once a night before i go to sleep............. My post was just a simple question of something that has not happened before to me with customs. Seems like the hostile posts are the ones who need to relax a little. I mean come on? "get a life?" That is just plain rude.

Please guys....do not wear oakleys with your panerai's and iwc's and the like. That would be more of a tell of a rep than any flaw in the watch

Funny there was a customs thread with the same question about sweden and you did not insult him?

I was only curious because my many other orders take between 15mins-2hrs to clear that point.
