What rep was a must have and then dropped off the face of the earth? The skyland is the one now but I think it is around to stay.

The sliver subdial rings kill this one for me. I would have not minded the pvd as a fantasy watch but the silver rings clash with the design. These guys never get it. While most of us are in this for the love of watches and the small details the chinese makers once again emphasize the fact they are in it for the status symbol. If they really love the details or could appreciate them half these flaws would never pop up.

By the way, If any of the attendees have any nice modded pieces they would like to sell in person send me a PM and maybe we can do some trading/buying.

I have been to otto in large groups before and never had any type of set options..... we just ate and paid according to what we ordered. Guess things have changed. Chad

Spotted pig has no reservations and a group this size might be tough. It is awesome though. Places like Asia de Cuba tends to turn about huge groups of guys. One request(not to sound like a snob ) but the avoiding the touristy areas like little italy and chinatown would be great for the locals. Most of us dread those type of places.

True, look at the joke of a watch the 292 cerarmic is. Finish is not important to them in PVD as long as it looks black.

It is the simplicity that is the problem not an easy solution. Things like font and dial texture have to be perfect on the pams or it looks like crap. Take a look at a super rep with a busy dial and most have flaws in these areas also but they are so busy that you cannot really notice it. Like the dots on the new skyland, just imagine if the dial only had those dots on it. All of a sudden that flaw would be a deal breaker. These guys who make these reps in china are not fine detail oriented people. They are looking to make a buck and low standards when it comes to making something perfect. Yes we have some REALLY impressive reps but if you really want to take things to the next level these guys just do not think that way.

Thanks for the insults.... very nice. I have friends myself who consider those guys friends and have had personal experiences as I described. Guess I was clueless for believing what they said. I am not insulting you. I also think josh and andrew for the most part do great business here. They are fair and reliable. P.S. I have been a member here 3 days longer than you....so there!!! P.S.S I have twice as many posts as you also.....haha Anyway like I said, no hard feelings and I am sorry if I insulted you personally. That was not what I intended.

Considering Josh a friend is a bit like thinking that stripper in front of you actually likes you. I have heard from many reliable sources close to those guys that we are a source of income to them and they do not speak to highly of people on the forums.

That dsn dial is a great example of why that guy should stick to just making cases. How could he complete that and look at it and say it was ready to sell or even show to anyone in public.

Stupid thing to say considering they just released the concord C1 and I did a search on the major watch forums and there is little to NO interest in that watch and the FF is one MM bigger than the C1.
