  1. wow - this is a cool thread. I've done some waterslide decals for printing graphics on a guitar amplifier and a few pedals I've built. Once you get the technique, they can be very effective. how would these look from a high end color laser?
  2. that must be a TC 93250 V2 or V3? I think both the WM9 and TC V1-V3 were made by the same maker, allegedly. TC claims the V4 and V5 were a new maker, and the end link laser etch disappears on those.
  3. Chances are very high that you will be disappointed with a purchase from the site you mentioned. At best, you will overspend... worst case is you will be scammed. You want to go to the trusted dealers listed on the site here under "Watches, Clothing, Etc". From there, locate a dealer with the watch you had your eyes set on

    Noob v6 f

change the date wheel too.. the date wheel bugs me on these Noobs... it's never centered and the fonts don't look correct (too thick)
  5. an ant huh? it makes you wonder what kind of conditions these movements are assembled under. hehe
  6. I don't know about the future value. If it's solid gold, it'll hold up better in the future. My only advice is that if you inherited it from a family member you have fond memories of, you might consider keeping it. I inherited an Omega watch from my grandfather. It's gold filled and not very valuable, but I imagined when he bought it after getting out of the service. It's one of the few things I have that directly connect me to him now that he's passed. Anyway, I'd encourage you to keep it if there's sentimental value attached to it.
  7. mark - your post on the nature boy had me going for some WCW video of him. I landed on this video and was somewhat shocked about what one of my childhood heroes went through to be the persona that he was... It's a long video, but about 6 days at home per year... rough! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pgAB0lV_JQU
  8. orange gatorade and steamed rice is your ticket. definitely stay hydrated. the worst thing that can happen is losing the hydration battle...
  9. Nice looking rep!!! Thanks for sharing your purchase from Phong. I know some members here are probably fairly familiar with what he offers, but I've seen little in the way of actual pieces purchased from Phong from forum members. He's kind of a back woods kinda guy. I don't know that he ever posts on the forums or participates in the community in any connectable way. Maybe he does under a pseudonym... but he seems rather elusive, and his pieces are priced such that you're not going to see them very often on the fora. I've looked at his photos on his site, and they're not high enough resolution or photo quality to compel me to spend the numbers he's asking. So it seems like a bit of a gamble overall... but you have a nice looking watch! wear it well!
  10. The P series, which would be near the end of the lug hole cases has a slightly different dial. The second markers normally enclosing SWISS MADE are the same height as the ones underneath SWISS MADE. That's the biggest difference that jumps out at me. Also, I believe those period dials were Luminova. Later, Rolex started using Super Luminova. However, it could be a service dial...
  11. Robert - when you have the TC movement replaced with the Yuki, Do the dial feet on the TC get removed and the dial secured with dial dots?
