  1. I was in and out of the kitchen yesterday doing a BBQ and what I thought was the wife's earring rose hit the tiled floor and bounced a few times. I picked it up to discover it was a case back screw from my j12 v6 diver.

Lucky it worked loose when it did and not in the garden or at the shops as I'd be none the wiser it was missing. Needless to say I re fitted it and nipped them all up at the same time.

I'm not sure how hard these screws are to buy but I'm sure a lost one would have been a bummer to source so in was lucky.

Get me nipped up guys before you loose em ;)

  2. I think the most convincing rep is the one you wear most confidently to be honest. If you had a $7,000+ Watch on your wrist would you be proud or embarrassed? I'd be proud so would act accordingly and not hide it but also not rub people's noses in it. Most people won't know or care but if you are trying to impress then wear it with pride without getting in faces and it will be gen.

  3. I'm very tempted to pull the trigger on a seiko at the moment. One of the solar chrono divers. I can only find one for sale in the world after a quick search admittedly.

It references lots of watches that I like. Pepsi bezel from gmt, seamaster chrono etc

Anyone have views on these? This is the seiko ssc019p1 and I love the way it looks

  4. Cheers Dusk , im the last 50 minutes ive read all that can be read on this  and emailed Toro  about sending one to Manchester  :)    Just wondering about the shipping time and duties   into the UK :(

I'm in Cheshire, pay $35 shipping and you get it in about 4-5 days. Last time I ordered it went via Germany and got inspected then released but all fine. No crime buying reps so don't worry. No customs charge either because rep dealers are clever with shipping. Bought 9 now with no issues.

  5. Sorry new guy here ,,,, ive been drawn to these boards after reviews of this rep

I had the £4000 real version on my wrist today and for the life of me I really don't want to stump up that much cash ,, im sooo tempted to try my luck with one of these reps

Don't apologise for being new there are loads of us newbies on here. It seems you have a good eye because these watches are incredible. I've been to the omega store and held this model as well and I would struggle to tell them apart. If I could only have one replica I think this would be it. I also agree that £4k is a lot of cash to have swinging around on your wrist. Don't worry about the buying process just spend a few hours reading and as long as you can live without a cardboard box and paperwork go for it :)
  6. This is exactly why we need a IRWSB (International Rep Watch Standards Board). There should be standards regarding rep version taxonomy and nomenclature. Fractional version numbers should be prohibited to avoid precisely these sorts of mix-ups. ;)

LOL spot on. The international rep watch industry needs to be regulated by an official government board. :)

  7. You decided buy a whole lot of fakes over a genuine watch? I'd have pick up that used gen in a heart beat if I had the cash. Oh well, at least you're happy, right? Enjoy :).

Yeah I'm happy. I'd rather enjoy these watches for a few months/ years before I decide which gen I want to invest in, I've not been into watches in a big way before so I don't want to put loads of money into one piece just yet. Or perhaps I'll just go on with the reps, who knows :)
