@ folex, Im sort of partial to the secs @ 12 I like the 3 subdial look, I've noticed the divers and have just held off hoping another would pop up.

So I've only been on this site about a week and I've sent the Mods a couple messages now seeking information on how to upgrade my membership. I haven't heard anything back yet is this normal? I mostly just want to be able to post in the Want to Buy section but I can't until this is worked out.

Agreed. For such a high ticket item I would definately be putting some proffessional grade photos up. At the price its currently at and apparantley no reserve i may keep an eye on it. Seller has only 10 transactions but is 100% so it'd be nice to hear some more opinions on this piece.

Thank you for your reply Panerai! Yes I have been reading non stop for the last couple of days trying to soak up everything I can about the APs in particular. Just today I had to investigate what the sec@9 and 12 meant that's how new I am haha. But yes you covered a lot of what I had in my mind already as far as the benefits of buying M2M. I think I'll keep a close eye on the for sale boards and try to pic up a modded watch that has some of the cooler gen peices swapped into it. Again when I get one I will probably not want to have it serviced if it means sending it out of the country I think I'm too paranoid about never seeing it again. It's kind of a catch 22 in that way because a lot of the things I would eventually like done to the watch would mean sending it somewhere. But for now I'll try to pick up one from a member and see where it goes from there. I plan on purchasing more down the road and I can definately see the potential of becoming addicted to all of this

I live in the US so I was kind of leaning towards buy a used one from another member who lives in the states and avoid getting caught up in customs. As far as reps are concerned are they usually fairly well built? I mean obviously not as well as a gen but they don't generally just fall apart do they? Hey everyone I am new to this forum and to gen/rep watches in general. I have been obsessing on these AP watches since checking out all the different threads on here about them. I'm planning on purchasing one sometime in the near future I'm just deciding whether to buy a new one from one of the preffered vendors or buying one from the private for sale boards. Im partial to the ROO but the other styles are great too. Is there a general direction I should be looking as far as buying a quality rep that is close to the originals? I have no idea about the different movements or what makes on rep better than another. I am researching and learning on my own but there is a lot to cover if anyone here would like to respond and give me some pointers it would be appreciated. I hope to become a known/respected member of this community and look forward to contributing to some converstations pertaining to this wonderful hobby. Thanks again, Zack

Hey all I am completely new to the whole rep watch scene. I have always wanted to buy a replica and have come close but always wuss out at the last second fearing I will be ripped off. Any tips on where to buy a good quality Audemar? I've been obsessing over these lately and would like to find one that is very good quality, price isn't a major deterent. Any info would be awesome. I know there are many dealers on here and I've requested a membership upgrade to hopefully get the chance to buy some reps from users on here as well. Thanks in advance for any advice Mr. Attack..
