  1. I've always ordered mine from Mr.Slimeball wholesaleoutlet990 but next time i think i will get them from Yuki maybe? I think he has them on his site. Theres a few ebay sellers that have them. Just dont buy from the guy selling that triplock crown tube combo for $15.99 or whatever it is on Ebay. Its not even close to gen size.
  2. Yes, gen 580's are closed as in your pic. Mine also came with 285's... not sure why.
  3. The A7750 movement itself isnt that bad, especially after servicing as you will read in The Zigmeisters reviews in Freddys link. The problem lies in all the unlubricated transfer gears used to make the seconds at 6 layout. I wish they made a seconds @9 Daytona with a more reliable movement.. even a hand wind movement like the Lemania would be more reliable. Personally I would stay away from the Daytona for now. Its definately as you said, a "time bomb".
  4. it would be a 93150 clasp. They range on ebay from $175-$400 depending on the condition and the seller. I think around $150 is fair for one in ok shape. NOS condition of course would be worth more... Maybe $250 but i sure wouldnt pay $400. You can get a whole bracelet for $475-$550 these days. I need another 93150 clasp also. I just havent seen any decent deals on them lately.
  5. Yikes look at that crown!! WOW what a crappy redial. He'd probably get more $$ if he just threw the dial away and sold the watch as parts. Maybe someone pointed out the flaws and still offered him way more than his reserve price. Funny how Rolex told him it was worth $500. nice to see they know nothing about vintage Rolex... OR they didnt want to work on it because of all the crappy aftermarket parts on it (ie crown, dial etc)
  6. Yeah i was going to say the same thing.. case needs to be dented up a little and scratched, then polished out a few times. That would be the icing on the cake so to speak. The case looks a little too "new" for that nicely aged dial. But other than that, good job on taking a very plain looking watch and giving it a lot of character!!
  7. WTF? lol How big is that t-19? it looks WAY oversized.. either that or you have a miniature submariner bezel insert there I get all my crystals from Clarkes now.. cheaper that most places and im happy with their stuff so far.
  8. Yep I ordered t-19 crystals and received crystals that are for an Air-king instead. Not even close. I ordered a couple of the oyster links on a 93150 that connect from the clasp by the flip lock to the rest of the bracelet links.. asked specificly for the ones for a 20mm bracelet and received one for a 20mm bracelet and a different one for a 19mm bracelet. The i also asked for the "580" end links and even paid MORE for 3 sets of them... more than any of his other endlinks he has listed... then i received the same ones Freddy got.. the 455b, And the best part is, while they took the 2mm bars, they arnt the right shape for submariner lugs and i broke the little loops off the inside trying to fit it to any of my submariner cases!!! WTF!!! I didnt feel like paying to send them back to only have something else completely different and incorrect shipped to me. He has nice stuff, but whoever works in the shipping and receiving dept is an idiot. Who else carries all the stiuff he does? Like random links and 16mm and 20mm heavy springbars, endlinks, crystals and tubes and gaskets and all that? I know Clarkes has some of the stuff but no where near the selection of Mr Slimeball.
  9. I wouldnt pay for the "waterproofing" unless it was from a modder like BK or a smaller dealer that actually works on watches. The big guys and the drop shippers dont have much control over what goes out. dizz
  10. Some also came with a 7206 rivet bracelet. Im not sure if that was standard equipment or not but i have seen a few with this combination. The older sea-dwellers would have had the 9315 and that bracelet would most likely be later replaced during RSC service with a 93150.
  11. Yeah i noticed this also.. you NEVER see these big logo's and in the last month, they are all over the place and selling for up to $10,000!!!!!! Didnt Nanuq say that yuki had one coming out sometime soon??? I think this clasp is the most beautiful clasp I have ever seen. I cant wait to see them at a reasonable price. dizz
  12. stay away from wholesaleoutlet990 You rarely get what you order.. then you have to send it back... Ive ordered from him 5 times now... and ONCE i got what i paid for.
  13. I ordered some of the 580's from that goof at wholesaleoutlet990 at a premium.. accepts 2mm bars etc etc ....and of course i received 455b endlinks. Figures.
  14. I bought a rivet for my 6265 and i love it!!! I got mine for $100 plus shipping. I find a lot of times people have filed down the end links from 19mm to 18 or 17mm. That may be what they are measuring. 7205 with a 57 is a 19mm bracelet as far as i know.
  15. Unfortunately this is what happens when you buy replica items from China, especially from big internet dealers. Theres threads all over this forum from people complaining that dealers arnt doing the "waterproofing" that was paid extra for. I would never send a watch back to China for a small flaw. I would only send it back if the movement was DOA or something because I have also sent watches back to find that nothing was fixed. Im sure someone here on the forum could help you with your bezel issue or at least point you in the right direction.
  16. Thanks Ubi Im gunna keep my eyes open for a nice NOS or good aftermarket black dial. I never use the chronos anyways so it doesnt matter if they dont function as the gen and v72. I'll prob just keep this MM until it dies. Its been serviced and runs very well. Maybe i'll look for a v72 also and get a new case... OH GOD i hate these watches!! Spending all this money on a watch I dont even wear lol
  17. I tried searching but couldnt find an answer to what I thought would be an obvious question for you Daytona gurus... I have a 6263 DW with the mystery movement. I want to swap to a different/better dial and probably install a v23 at the same time. I would love to get a NOS dial but i am afraid I will have to settle for a good aftermarket or redial. Are the mystery movement, V23 and V72 dials the same size in regards to chrono register placement? Can I use a gen dial with a V23 or the current mystery movement I have right now? I would assume yes, but i dont want to buy anything without finding out for sure first Another question, does the Rolex engraved bridge from a V72 fit on a V23? cheers Lonnie
  18. Its not as heavy as you would think. Its got a very thin/old oyster bracelet on it. Its the OLD oyster with pins (before screws) from the late 60's. I dont have a scale to weigh it but feels lighter than a gen steel 16610 with 93150.
  19. Oh wow... Sounds like the guy on timezone that shot a squirt of WD-40 into the back of his gen Rolex to "lubricate" the movement... Didnt turn out very well. Im afraid if you need that if you a new case, caseback, dial, hands and movement parts... you may as well just buy a new watch as it might be cheaper than buying all the parts seperately dizz
  20. Thankyou!! Im not a yellow gold kinda guy, but this watch is absolutely awesome. dizz
  21. Did someone say "gold"??? But i most always wear stainless....
  22. Where did you send it? Back to Josh? I doubt the movement would be serviced even if they said it was done... Send it to a local watchmaker, but they may not want to touch that modified movement. Any watchsmith can repress that bezel on for you properly. Where are you located? Maybe one of the members here can help you out. You want to find someone who can service it with graphite. Its the ONLY procedure that has proven to actually work on those movements.
