  1. So the counter clockwise thing is just a myth? I wonder why I hear it so much.
  2. I was wondering why you always set a clock or watch by turning the hands counter clockwise and should turn them clockwise. Does it damage the release?
  3. Hi all, I am looking for a gen... I've been thinking. I want something cool and unique. Not something that is just "expensive" and a watch but something that is different from what everyone is looking for. Know what I mean? But still can be worn with a suit. I am not looking for a status piece so much as a good conversation piece. Sometimes finding a good deal is a better conversation starter than just looking like a jackass who had a little bit of money to burn. So, I mean I would like an interesting piece that has good value (quality/cost) any ideas? (around 3000$ budget)? thanks for help!
  4. let's say we want to build the best pam rep up to date, let it be 111 coz it is so popular, what parts would you use? - palp crown, davidsen hands?, reluming and zigi service? what base would you start with? with the current collectors offerings, available additional parts and services, what would make THE almost "perfect" pam rep?
  5. WRONG! CJF2110.BA0576 refers to the model without tachymeter function on bezel. The one pictured here in this posts (Tag Link - tachymeter bezel) exists only in gray - CJF2115.BA0576 model and blue CJF2114.BA0576. Thou you can get it in black and white FANTASY versions from our dealers here. the one posted here looked black to me.. if it is blue (my LCD sux :-)) - everything is correct.
  6. "...Due to the fact that these Rolex replica Timepieces are identical in every way, the buyer must agree not to re-sell these Rolex replica Timepieces as Genuine...." "identical in every way" -? since when?
  7. your black dial version is a fantasy watch, there is only blue and gray one with this particular model
  8. Uri Geller will fix it... you just gotta hold it! FIRST - watch it on you tube The restarting of apparently broken watches has persuaded many observers of the reality of psychic phenomena. However, neither trickery nor psychic powers are required to achieve this effect. According to researchers David Marks and Richard Kammann (1977), jewelers estimate that "over 50 per cent of watches brought in for repair are not mechanically broken, but have stopped because of dust, dirt, gummed oil, or badly distributed oil". When such a watch is bumped or held between one's hands to warm up the oil, it may start working for a short period. Marks and Kammann have demonstrated this effect in more than half of a random selection of "broken" watches. In his appearances on television and radio, Geller can also rely on the statistics of a large pool of viewers or listeners. Among such a sizable group, there will inevitably be a few people who claim to find their watches and clocks working after years of apparent inactivity. Skeptics have demonstrated that this effect can be produced by nonpsychics in the same circumstances.
  9. got a rep from Andrew, shipped from Singapore to Tokyo, registered airmail (not EMS), watch was not hidden whatsoever :-)
  10. What is your opinion on this kind of watches?
  11. Just for the reference, on my trip to Shanghai I was asked 15-20 RMB (around 2.5USD) for cuff links (MB, LV, you name it), pretty funny but after some bargain I got MB ballpen for 20RMB as well... - everything quality really good thou only canal street+++ type of watches...

  13. Geneva watchmaker Romain Jerome SA billed its "Titanic-DNA" collection as among the most exclusive pieces showcased this week at Baselworld, the watch and jewellery industry's largest annual trade fair. "It is very luxurious and very inaccessible," said Yvan Arpa, chief executive of the three-year-old company that hopes the limited edition watches will attract both collectors and garrulous luxury goods buyers. "So many rich people buy incredibly complicated watches without understanding how they work, because they want a story to tell," Arpa said. "To them we offer a story." Enjoy! link here
  14. I would go for this: watch movement cuff links
