  1. time for an update - Mr. Postman delivered this today - couldn't resist the offer from dutchguy2 over at RWI: for the time being I hesitated ordering parts for a build of my own due to the potential risk of seizure of branded after market stuff...well let's see if I start with a 1675 m.
  2. wow - great pics of a wonderful watch! Cheers, michael
  3. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G build - wow! Kudos to your manufacturing skills! Best, mike
  4. Thanks for all answers and comments. Seems like I'm not alone :-) Will start setting up a shopping list.... mike
  5. Hej Cats .... it's already ordered! Stay tuned. Btw, congrats to the dutch team... Mike
  6. hmmm, going franken is definitely tempting... Yet the one shown above might be good start - and still leaving room for some improvements over time. Thanks so far! best, mike
  7. Hi there, lusting since quite some time for a 1016 - meanwhile the prices for 'the real thing' are gone off limits (for me). The various hommages of the last years didn't really work for me, so maybe the rep area has something for me. Here I read found some threads on fascinating franken builds, but no review on an off-the-shelf watch. I saw one at trusty time - any real life experiences here? Alternatives? Cheers, mike
  8. Hello everybody, after being into watches for quite some time I seem to have found a new playground here. I already habe a couple of gen middle-class watches (eg Sinn, Seiko, lowball vintage brands). Still there are some wishes on the list, yet the budget is limited... Looking forward to some new insights! Best, mike
