  1. Happy Birthday, you share the same bday as me.
  2. Very nice gentlemen, here's my story: I work for an respectable oil and gas software corporation in canada. I would consider myself well off. I have looked at gens and have considered buying a rolex. It's strage, but while I was in Malaysia, I contemplated buying a daytona for $20k usd. Because I was in a rush, I decided I'd come back tomorrow. Strange how "fate" would interfere. As I was walking down the night market streets that night, I encountered rep merchants that beckoned me to look at their watches. I looked, and looked, thinking in my mind that these "fakes" are horribly made and easily detected. Smugly, I laughed to myself and wondered why anyone would want to own one of these things. Then the watch dealer pointed to the back and ask me to look at his more "expensive" products. I saw the exact daytona I was looking at ealier in the day. I was astonished and impressed. The daytona rep was very very close. I decided to buy it so I can examine it a little closer. I paid $25usd for it. I pulled up piles and piles of photos for comparison...wow, very impressed. The flaws are very hard to notice. The sweeping second hand, the screw in links, the caseback...everything screams authenticity (well, except for the minor subdial spacing issue). I started doing research when I returned to canada... ...and that's what led me to this site. Now, I am a rep collector with 3 reps and 1 more on the way. Funny how gen dealers are screaming foul, because if anything, reps have sparked a huge interest in me to owning gens in the future.
  3. I see some of us are quite well off here. Probably to a point where we are capable of affording gens. So why do we buy reps instead of gens? I'll probably get flamed for asking a question like that, but I am curious to know what people think.

    ...

I'm contemplating the 3 series myself. Most likely I will make the decision and get it. Go with the 3 series...most of my friends have nothing but good things to say about it.
  5. I was thinking of writing a review to see if he'll put it up. His daytonas was so good and accurate, it is totally fit for the mandrills to wear it. In fact, one is wearing it right this minute. And to top it off, all the females are totally into shiny things. Yay for Aspire and their mandrill friendly watches!
  6. noorudeenshakur, here's the timeline... -Ordered the watch on Mar 28 and sent WU money -Aspire picked it up on Mar 29 -Watch was sent out on April 1st -Watch was in Calgary April 3rd, custom trouble -Picked up watch at customs April 5th So yeah, less than 10 days. Not bad. I would have received the watch on April 3rd if it wasn't for customs.
  7. Ladies and Gentlemen, I went down to customs today and finally got my watch. The process was brutal...waiting for a good hour before customs lady called me up. She was real nice about it, even told me "NEVER SHIP WITH DHL AGAIN!!" Apparently, DHL's packages always gets targeted because of where it comes from (asia). This lady even told me her daughter bought a fake wedding dress of a brand name company from some wholesaler in china and avoided DHL (no, I didn't tell her I bought a rep, she just mentioned that for some reason). So all in all a good experience. I'll give Paul a good review. The watch is perfect. It's a pam125 btw.
  8. btw, miguel...post # 12 on the second page is about some family that got busted with reps. So I don't really understand what you're trying to show me lol. Maybe if you could copy a few lines or something
  9. So from my understanding, I can't seem to get into trouble...but they do have the right to confiscate my damn watch?? great.
  10. Through wilmington apparently. Ok, so here's the story folks. I dropped by DHL calgary to pick up my papers and was informed that stupid customs is close. Who the hell closes customs at 4pm??? don't they realize ppl have to work? But here's another issue. Paul/Chris/Aspire/satan or whatever the hell he calls himself now gives my package the description of "plastic cover sample" with a value of $1.49. Uh ok. So on my customs paper that I obtained from DHL reads..."please provide true description and value!!" GREAT!! So what do I do now folks? Do I tell them the truth of what's in the package? A damn watch?
  11. Wow...this is sure a pain in the ass. I will be leaving soon to pick up the damn watch in a couple of hours. Will let you guys know how things went..
  12. huh, interesting. I was looking around for some answers and couldn't find anything, but then I typed "customs" and found this. Looks like my watch is going through a similar situation.
  13. Well, my package is stuck at canada customs here. It's only about 10 mins away driving time, and they've requested that I come down and claim it. Am I in trouble? Oh, it was sent via DHL btw.
  14. Nope. I bought mine before the announcement of this wonderful offer lol
  15. Is it really personal? If not, I think I can help. I don't live there anymore, but I was born and raised there and grew up there half my life.
  16. Yup, got it as well. Ok, I'm pretty concern now. My second replica and I had to pick paul...great. I just sent him my WU money too. I hope he delivers though...been 3 days and no tracking number yet.
  17. no problem I appreciate the help nontheless.
  18. Yeah, finally matched it up Thanks!
  19. Thanks Finepics. I just bought one from Paul. Tried searching for it on rwg without any luck lol. Now I know. I noticed that the subdial on the left side looks a bit off compared to the other PAM 90s (different colors). Is this a new PAM 90?
  20. Hi, I just recently got into the PAM game. I was wondering which PAM is this on Paul's website? http://www.aspire-eshop.com/images/product...800/W1775-1.jpg Thanks in advance.
