  1. The Sales corner on Timezone is usually a replica-free and safe zone, I have had some nice deals there. However, this SuperOcean Steelfish, made me suspicious... The seller actually uses a very familiar studio-picture to advertise his watch! Same picture as Andrew and Josh!.. And the phrase: "Unfortunately, it was sold to me without box and paperwork, just Tourneau Boxes, thus the low price..." (1200 USD) Steelfish on Timezone The picture of the actual watch for sale are a bit blury... But, I actually think it looks better than the rep.. I am not that familiar with the Steelfish rep, but the tail on the "s" in SuperOcean is straight, and it is slightly curved on the gen. Also, the pearl and date font look rather good on this one? I guess it was just a question of time before someone tried to rip off somebody with the new Steelfish..
  2. I just want to make sure that you get the day and date fonts right! Please choose the correct ETA-type date font... which fills the entire window! Gorgeuos piece...
  3. Wow... I really like it! The ETA datefont looks so much better than the stock Asian one. Correct regulator on the movement and correct date wheel.. I am thinking about doing the same, I just bought the Racing Carrera from Dani, and I have a stock ETA 7750 in the drawer.. Congrats!
  4. Yep... Very interesting. Personally, as with many others I think, I want a relative simple product I can slip right into my watch without modification. I decase a movement and remove the hands and dial.. But the extensive mods and parts search that a MBW require is out of my interest.. So, I belive a staight-swap datewheel for the Chronomat Evo and IWC Pilot should reach a wider audience than those interested in the vintage Rollies.. Anyway.. As an Engineer, I bet I finally must have the Inge..with the correct date wheel
  5. Just wondering.... Why would you like to take it apart, if it is still working? There are a lot of failed 7750 ties out there, if you want something to tinker with. In my (modest) experience, taken a watch apart to a certain extent is not difficult as long as you have time, patience and correct tools.. Good luck!
  6. Yes!! I was thinking the same thing.. I don't have the Ingenieur , but if we could get the same Datewheel projects for the Breitling Evolution and the IWC Pilot Chrono, I would most definently join!! But, as Pug says... I have seen a lot of projects, but not many results..
  7. As far as I know; In all important aspects, the 2836, 2836-2 as well as the 2824 and 2824-2 can be considered the same... 2836 supports day and date, while 2824 just supports date. I am sure someone knows more.
  8. Guess they will sell it to one of those eBay sellers who offer Bretlings...
  9. Great new additions.. The VC Overseas is a very nice watch, which are not getting much attention. Classy choices!
  10. It is the one with display caseback?? May be accurate from the front, but not if you hand it over for "inspection"... The good old vintage Connies trades for about the price of two good reps and is excellent used buys! In the previous thread about the most accurate replica, I raised the voice for the regular Tag Heuer Link, in place of the Chrono version.. The regular Link uses the stock ETA datewheel.. Just as the rep. Thereby you avoid the slightly off datewheel of the Chronograph replica.. But, the regular Link has never gained the fame of the chrono version..
  11. " THIS IS AN ORIGIONAL BRETLING AND NOT A FAKE." What the heck is an Bretling..? Anyway, the guy who bought the previous "Bretling" has left positive feedback, so it could be worth the risk of bidding on this one... But, it is not for me..
  12. As long as the Asian also is guaranteed waterproof... I think that is the version I will go for.
  13. The Ultimate PO is getting some rest this evening, as I pick up my best genuine... Vintage Heuer Carrera, with legendary Calibre 12...
  14. Nice watch... I will consider to join in on a group buy.. I think that the maker will maximize profit on the investment and sell as many as possible... I just wonder if the date font is the ordinary Asian one... Shame, as the date font was correct on the GST chronograph.
  15. Thanks for the input, The Zigmeister! It is much appreciated! Yep, As you say, the plastic spacer does the job..
  16. I have also considered buying the "Steelfish Lite", as 168 USD is a lot cheaper than the 308 USD for the ETA version with AR... One thing that bugger me is that the cheaper version uses a plastic movement spacer ring! Whereas the similar cheapie "Ultimate PO Lite" uses a proper metal spacer.. Except for the rotor and the color, the two movements looks almost similar... But, for the price, 1000m water proofness guarantee even of the "Steelfish Lite" is excellent!
  17. Nice pictures of an RWG Classic! On yours, the date seems to be very well aligned in the date window by the way!
  18. Air-King is a terrific choice! I bought mine from Silix two years ago. his current version does not have quite as good "Air-King" logo as mine. But the Air-King has been produced for a very long time, in many slightly different versions.
  19. A good story, and great pictures. The replica is a nice watch in itself, except for the slightly odd "B" on the crown. Good luck!
  20. Wow... another classic IWC. Looks good. Maybe this will be my first IWC, a bit expensive though... I will rather have this one than the daff "Top Gun" IWC!
  21. Breitling does not use the regular ETA-datewheel, as discussed in some other threads here... Is it possible to buy the special Breitling datewheel for the 7750 online? Nice pictures by the way!
  22. Thanks for the report! An interesting read. I am probably going to China this summer, so it is nice to be prepared.
  23. Use the search-function, read, and you will find the answers.. Lots of info here. Good luck!
  24. thanks for the little review... The Omega Seamaster Chrono is one of the best reps around. Before we got the Chronograph version, the regular "Bond" Seamaster was considered an excellent replica.. It sometimes has a better bracelet, by the way.. And now we have the Ultimate Planet Ocean! The Replica makers like Omega! I have a link to my SMP Chronograph review in my signature.
