After the 67th post in the "RWI decision thread" I started to skip his posts.. He can't know much more than me and I only posted to make fun of Pugs. It did come off as stirring the pot after a while. With all the money available for gens, I would've liked to suggest Robbie go to GZ and report to us some real facts, or at least become a supporter here. Other then that, I don't know what the deal is, he was always a gentleman. Just like the "RWI" thread though, I keep mostly quiet because I know only that I do not really know.

I thought that too for a while. That was weeks ago though, and its been quite steady still.

I LOL'd... at the almost $600 price tag. For a watch that has a 50% chance of being broken upon receipt, and lives the lifespan of an Asian 7750? How do you all justify used gen pricing for a fake watch or two? I don't think i'm the only one thats going to hang my hat if this trend continues. Prices havent even decreased for what we now know are not ETA movements, still being marketted as such. $600... I suggest some of you guys think long and hard about what you are "saying" to our collectors when you purchase these overpriced pieces. A genuine unimpressed person was used as a sample to make this post.

I may think about it but I dont come out and ask. Most of the time you only get glimpses of peoples watch, so its usually hard to tell. People couldn't care less about watches, generally it seems watchtalk is best left alone unfortunately. I saw a guy where I work the other day with a chronomat evo on a rubber B strap. We were standing in line waiting for the ATM. I said "nice Breitling", and got "thanks". Sure, I wanted to know more, but I just got the blow-off reply.. To me thats more of a tell then anything. its rare to get a good watch conversation going "in the wild", which is why this forum is so enjoyable for a lot of us.

Personally I can't be 100% sure from one extreme angled pic. Pearl looks good, insert sits nice, but the bezel teeth seem a little smooth. Pic is too grainy. The SEL bothers me a little, but again it could be the pic and I'm no expert.

Really very nicely done! I agree with BT about the SEL's fitting the lugs, too. Thats something I always look for and yours are nice and snug. Glad the replacement crystal worked for you. Huge etched crown is another dead giveaway, but not on yours! Oh, and I wouldn't drill it either.
