  6. Welcome 550 Enjoy, everything you need to know is right here.
  7. No one cares whats on your wrist. I'd love to see a poll of the % of general public that care about watches. 2% maybe? Chances of people noticing are so slim.. Maybe a "nice Rolex!" from the stranger next to you at the elbow-to-elbow sushi bar. Then, If you guys start chatting, you then might get asked the innevitable "is it real". I was sitting across from a co-worker today having lunch (i'm wearing the gen TAG today) and he asked "what happened to the crystal on your watch, its missing!" I showed him it was still there, and that the blue finish called AR makes it disappear. Thats the first time in a while anyone that didn't know I was into watches commented on my watch. The people that do know however, always have something to say.
  8. Welcome Thanks for sharing the pics. I love those speedmasters. Have to get myself a moonwatch someday. Make yourself at home, search, hide your wallet, and consider upgrading eventually if you enjoy your time here. Take a look at this, it might spark your interest- http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showto...mp;#entry484574

  12. Lest the latest Omega Seamaster Pro. Known as model number 2220.80
  13. My girlfriend and I both drive 4 cyl. vehicles. Coupes, sedans, hatches... Most of the younger generation car guys in the US are into 4 cyl cars. Turbo 4cyl, nissans, hondas, audis, vw's, toyota, etc.. Not American cars, not big V8 muscle like in the 1980's. Those V8 generations, the "baby boomers" are the wasteful SUV driving lunatics. The younger generations X,Y, and now Z seemingly despise them, our "parents" and the mess created by them. Ask any all black wearing kid outside a mall. They will tell you their parents left this country looking like the morning after woodstock, then wrote 10,000 rules to make sure we don't have half the fun they did. Whats happening now is that dying breed, throwing one last hoo-rah before they pass the torch, which will now have to burn using hydrogen, and give off eco-friendly emmissions.
  14. The designer over at Omega needs to take the Submariner poster off the ceiling above his bed and stick with what he's got. It's fine the way it is.
  15. You are right my EU friend. I can only imagine whats going to happen in HI. We have been flush down the recession toilet quickly into what looks like is going to be a very real depression. You can tell by the actions of the public. People are nervous. People mauling each other over decent sales on everyday household goods. Its not just half-laughable talk of "oh golly gas went up 10 cents " over by the water-cooler anymore, its "I cant afford to drive to work anymore, I will be moving back home to New Jersey to work with my uncle". At home, my girlfriend and I have been cutting back. We've cut out a lot of "fun" stuff, a lot of pleasure. Working, or staying home a lot. The scary part is, we aren't seeing any increase in money. Groceries, clothes, EVERYTHING. A gallon of spring water $1.69, Hellmans Mayonaise- $7.00?! Will our new elected officials help? With what money? Will the "world community" we so eagerly (think we) help all the time, help us if our house of cards come crumbling down? There are people all around me with bachelors degree's working for $10-$15/hr. What do you do, if a 6 year degree doesn't get you a good job and put food on the table of a decent house? Hell, I have an associates degree and cannot even afford to pay my student loans. Then there's people like JohnG... A new month, a new gen.
  16. The Yacht-Master is pretentious. You're right. But $100 to be a once in a while?
  17. I never would've guessed you had less than 8 watches. -I'm surprised not to see even one SS Sub/SD. -I have to disagree with you on the YM somewhat. Like you, I try to keep true to the watch to income theme. The YM doesnt seem to fit very well, used prices are tight, and new price tag is in the $9,xxx range. It feels odd in my collection, personally. You don't have it anymore, so a moot point. - You like blue and steel.
