  2. He wrote back and said that we are not meant to do business together and offered me and refund.

    UPDATE:

Josh has agreed now to send me another replacement. I will cross my fingers on this one and thank you Josh for your efforts.

Josh, Josh, Josh, put the dummy back in ffs - Reminds me of a certain dealer who no longer frequents this board - ...." if you don't like, me, my service or anything I do or how I do it then go find somewhere else to buy your watches... "

Dealers are not gods, they are busineess people in an illegal game but business is business. Not the attitude, well you go away because I have 100 people behind you lined up to buy.

Anyway, thought I'd rant that off - glad it worked out and Josh got his savvy head on again.

  3. I remember a lot of the TTK's post.

he was always......... writing......with a lot of.........spaces in his respones....... which was normally..

" If you don't like me, the way i do things, the speed at which I send it, how I choose to send it, when i get round to it and if you dare ever question me then get lost - find another dealer if you think you can because they won't be as good as me anyway and if you try to PM me I'll ignore you.

(" Hey good deal on Noob Sub " )

  4. Hello all,

So, I recieved my first rep, a BK sub a couple of days ago, and now I've already decided to buy a gen sub. It's simply a stunning watch! I've searched the forum a bit, but couldn't find any advice on buying a used gen.

    I've found this one:

    http://ure.pr.dk/ure-detaljer.asp?id=297

    A N-series (91 I suppose?) It's priced at what equals 3225 $. Any thoughts?

    Kind regards

    templeofbu

The Sub is the most copied watch in existence - I would certainly never purchase blind from the net - Go into an AD - spend your hard earned in there. - It's worth the reassurance.

  5. Think the main quotes i remember was a big... 'Oh.f.uck ' when one of the RWG1 longstanding members tried to pass his rep sub as Gen on the bay, sold for 4k$$ - not only got caught out by the members on RWG1 but the guy who bought the watch joined the forum and..... well that was an interesting few weeks...

    ahhh those were the days.

  6. Hey Dems, in many ways it was more fascinating too. Most of the Rolex reps were so bad, we had to send them to shady characters like RedBigJoe who changed some "genuine" Chinese parts here and there... charged $500, then blew the dust off the dial for $100... and then the whole crowd was yelling pleasantries. "Oh that looks exactly like the gen!". Good friends, good liars too.

I remember sending him a PM about a GMT insert. Joe said it was "highly handcrafted Swiss insert". Later I found those same inserts (with crooked numbers) from German Ebay for $7. Live and learn, that's what this hobby has always been.

And man those reps were God-Awful. I found some old pictures of my Chinese Sub just lately. Yet we polished the turds, modded them and loved 'em. Now you can buy a WM9 and it's 98% perfect otb... where's the fun in that?

But then again... would I turn the rep clock (no pun) back 5 years? Hell no!!!! :D

men like Joe will never go away, the dealers have cottoned onto this.. ' more jewels, new improved, made from 1.1 same as genuine' and do you know what....... Us suckers are still falling for it..

lol @ " Yet we polished the turds, modded them and loved 'em. " - Too true. :D

  7. Me = an old school rave head, late 80's early 90's UK rave / jungle scene - stuck in time warp, do remixes, bit of production, nothing grand, claim to fame is having remixed track played out by Carl Cox in Ibiza, other than that wolfs at door is system database project manager.

    All good.

  8. Well bit about me also is i'm an oldskool music lover, was around back in the day - 1st time out to balerics was 91' :o) like all early 90 rave / jungle etc etc + I also do music production + remixes of old tracks etc. My main claim to fame on this, for those that know the DJ, had stuff sent to Carl Cox which I believe has been played out in Ibiza anyway, enough waffling on.

Last year done a few scribbles on paper, thought i'd treat maself to a nice pair of proper size / weight cufflinks... The outcome below, all handmade and proper solid. One off and I'm chuffed. Just thought i'd share

below is next to an english 2p - an idea of size and how solid
