    Dear Mr. Obama:

    My thoughts/hopeful ideas-:

    -Free Leonard Peltier- This injustice is just breeding Hate and discrimination. It would be very meaning ful to the Native American people and all of us ho have watched and been saddened by a broken system

    (There are too many people in jail that don't need to be there-it IS a broken system- that enrages more people than it helps) - not saying that there aren't people who need to be jailed while determining their fate- but Jail should be a holding cell for justice and not a lifelong waste of taxpayers money to run a spa for criminals-how does this improve society? Especially when there are real threats to our most precious citizens -our children- in most cases child molesters are walking free. Government must Castrate every molester-or potential molester- error on the safe side- if any child pornography is found in anyone's possession-or anyone creating such atrocities-or if any child Is brave enough to come forward (at any young age to bring attention to a potential molester- listen) they need to be taken very seriously and see that justice is served-The abuse is way worse than any trial could be- our children need more protection and justice seen. It needs to be PREVENTED not just punished.

    I think we should Legalize Marijuana, tax and monitor -farm Hemp etc-this would make our borders less corrupt and then I think eventually this will be more secure option and save children in the long run – we should be able to farm Hemp in America- it's just silly— it would create jobs- and be good for environment.

    Bring our Troops home safely- Stop the killing and work with Veterans to secure a peaceful way world wide-using their 1st hand wisdom lovingly across all borders together. It is not a war Economy anymore- obviously-

    Stop all these garbage, wasteful and ineffective ,ancient animal tests (from 80 years ago?)- create a REAL working dedicated and active group of people assigned to this issue- science is suppose to be progressive? We need to get with it- update like Europe has – it's an embarrassment and nobody wishes this senseless cruelty to go on.

    Please get rid of this private insurance and private health care system- it's corrupt and doesn't work-

    Government should take over both those areas- supplying secure government jobs where people are dedicated to their job and it is a proven system- Canada etc- supplying proper insurance to everyone – It's much easier and government should supply these services for the taxes we pay- we would all be protected- pharmaceuticals would be affordable- to those that need it/especially our elderly- see that everyone has car insurance (there should not be an uninsured driver on the road) and health insurance- the same for everyone- isn't this what we pay taxes for?

    Promote vegetarianism-which would help end world hunger- crack down on factory farming that is killing the environment and slaughtering so many animals- wastefully and carelessly and it's unhealthy/and it's just impractical- to think this is monitored/regulated effectively..

    Please Shut down Guantanamo Bay-figure it out- make amends/stop torture- it's time for peaceful solutions- and cooperation world wide sharing resources and protecting each other- education, missionary work- bring the world together help each other- with resources now- its considered a very small place- We are each other's keeper no matter what side of the border we were born-nobody is less than.

    And if people are hard working why cant they work and pay taxes in America- if they have no criminal record- why do we have illegal immigration it should be made easier for people to work here- all they want to do is work- some Americans sure have a sense of entitlement that's unhealthy, unwise and selfish at times… Thank God it's a new day!

    stilty, great write up! do you attach new dial feet in positions correct for eta movement ? it seems like the proper way to do this, but certainly not the easiest.

    also, how do you remove the day disc from 2836-2 movement or day/date discs from any ETA movement? just pull it off? :blush:

    on forums people don't really care and this may go unnoticed in the casual conversation, its not a horrible rep after all, BUT if he was selling it - he would have a hard time. most people require authenticity check by the dealer or watchmaker. In this business you buy a person not a watch..

    Well here's the story, and the conclusion....

    I was on TZ and noticed the first picture (at the top of this thread) It struck me how the datewheel appeared sunken, and the lack of AR. I saved the picture and zoomed in and noticed the other flaws as mentioned at the top.

    I posted on Timezone that I would recommend an authenticity check for the following reasons...bla bla bla.

    Eventually after a bit of discussion, the original poster replied saying that it was indeed a replica given to him by a friend. He wanted to highlight how good replicas can be and that he didn't mean to inconvenience anyone....what a load of tosh. He has made multiple posts in the past of this Navitimer, and it has been unquestioned. It really worries me that people like this will try and sell it as the real deal without box or papers to some undiscerning person.

    Well let it be a warning to people like that, us rep collectors will make sure that they get their upcomance!

    from what i read so far, looks like it is recommended to stop the watch completely when it is not worn to prolong the life of the movement.

    there are still problematic transfer gears there, but time will show how soon they'll start causing problems. it is a metter of time though.

    some more inputs on this movement ?

    If I buy one I think that I will let it go to The Zigmeister for a check.. :D

    sorry guys i know im late , but whats the overall opinion on these new movements with seconds at 12 in AP's?

    EDIT: found a link to a tear down review on rep geek: http://www.repgeek.com/showthread.php?t=25910 looks like not all extra gears have jewels...

    Mike's conclusion:

    So what is my conclusion?

    First off, the modification is not badly thought out and the idea of transferring via a gear running coaxially with the cannon pinion is quite smart, it adds sturdiness to the entire mechanism.

    All of the jewels are quite flimsy except for the one which the running seconds gear rotates in, and there are no jewels in the bottom plate at all.

    Using graphite lubrication will certainly help, but I have several Daytonas and Portugueses with running seconds at 6 and have never had any serious probems even with the unlubricated ones. Perhaps I've just been lucky!

    Datewheel swaps and painting in the area around the date window will be tricky since it requires removing several plates of the modification module. Removing the dial is more difficult than usual due to the dial feet extending through the entire module (and the common problem with crappy dial feet clamps on A7750's).

    Further and more intelligent conclusions will have to be drawn by people much more knowledgeable than me! I hope you feel that reading this post wasn't a waste of time.

    pay attention to numbers 2, 5 & 7 !!! hour font thickness is different and anti-reflective coaating is missing, something smells fishy... forward these shots to the owner.

    i bet his is a fake. please ask where he got it from, i hope not AD..

  25. where to buy watch tools?

    guys, can you recommend not expensive tool set that has movement holder for ETA, hands remover, anything else i need to put together my first rolli frankenstein? lol ;) eBay has a few sets for cheap but im afraid it could be a waste of $. are there any decent tool sets for under 100$ ? i like working with my hands so i have a feeling i may enjoy this project. i already have a set of small decent screw drivers (moody tools)
