most times youre paying more piece by piece. thats why most people stop short of getting a gen case and rolex movement. thats where it gets out of hand

Disagree, I can always sell a Gen if need be, a 4K rep is not so easy.

But I already had the movement and the dial was traded for something old I had in my drawer. Actually the dial and movement work out to about 2200 give or take a few bucks. So, not sure what one of these goes for, but I'm probably going to keep it, and am not worried about how much it costs.

I have the 1002 with the correct movement and traded a beat up Prince for the dial, I think I made out alright.

+1 on misiekped. When it comes to rolex, he is my go to guy in the USA.

Thanks guys, this place it so great, so much information shared, much more that any Gen forum that I have been a member of. I have contacted misiekped and he has offered to take on the assembly. Now I just have to wait for everything to arrive from the 4 corners of the globe. Very exciting.
