So here's my thoughts, if you are going to replace the bezel assembly also replace the retainer ring otherwise you are going to have some issues with the fit.

extremely nice work, if you ever consider selling pm me first! Thanks The base watch was from Puretime. Dial from Ingod44, bezel assembly from WSO. Bezel insert off the bay, pearl from Yuki, gen spec crown. Hands a mix of sources, Raffles/Yuki, etc. Shortened the tail of the second hand to be more gen like. Phoenix NATO. Added a little patina to everything. Think that's about it.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

5517 today
That is a beautiful thing. What are the specs? Wow, I'd love to own a gen 5517 some day but I fear I'd have to sell my house to buy one.

Wow, thanks for the post and pics Mike. From a pile of parts to a beautiful 5513, you are amazing. I'll pick up a rotor and have it swapped later. Amazing work my friend.

Hence why I bought a sealed Gen retainer ring to go with the new bezel, none of which were ever installed. I think you are right, after time, swapping crystals etc. the metal is stretched and bezels no longer fit.

There is only one rep that is an attempt at the updated breitlings out there, but its so bad i would probably need to spend as much as the gen costs, if i could find a reputable place to get parts from
Which i don't think there is for the updated models
So its not really an option
This hobby is painfully addictive and expensive. I myself am sinking more damn money into a Gen build 5513 and it hurts. Also, have you thought of looking for a different model? Maybe you can find something different that you like. Just a thought.

Well gents, just ended up sinking 300 bucks into a brand new gen retaining ring, (sealed) so I pray I am finished. Once this project is finished I´m not taking it off, damn this has been painful.

youyou need a new wife... quit complaining
Now that's a bit harsh even for me.
Life's hard tyrant, and it only gets worse sometimes, you just have to get up in the morning and face the day. Nobody here is going to want you gone but you need to relax. Just hang around, contribute and play nice and you will be accepted with welcome arms.

Well, I have just bought a Gen sealed bezel ring, I assume a brand new gen sealed bezel assembly will fit without any problems.

I have an entire bezel assembly from Rolex less the retaining ring. I don't think buying another entire assembly is going to fix the issue. Gen retaining rings should all have the same measurements it just doesn't make sense to have them made by Rolex which won't fit their bezels.

Guys, I wonder if someone more knowledgeable than myself can help me. Does anyone know the diameter of a genuine crystal retaining ring. I have one (supposedly gen) which measures 35.52 which is larger than my gen bezel assembly which measures 35.3, obviously the assembly cannot fit on a retaining ring which is larger. The bezel
Is gen and from a sealed package so I know it's gen. Any help? Thanks.

The mods on .bz have taken my account for a joy ride
I really do plan on not being on any of the rep forums
I just felt like explaining that the person posting on .bz is not me
This is my last post, really no more. I'm not coming back, ok, only one update, now I'm really leaving, no more updates..

ah right. But that goes against the whole purpose of this purchase. Avoiding a rep.
I just want to avoid the negative stigma with "fake" watches with work colleagues.
How ironic "stigma with fake watches"? WTF? Better change your name then pal.

Bla Bla Bla who cares? What a whiner. Why even bother, I guarantee he has already been here reading the posts (not logged in of course) people like this love an audience and need to see the reaction--why else would he post this. Take your toys and go home. Adios.
