  1. Even a Asian SFSO with A/R and a new movement (done by western companies) will costs you less than the ETA version lol

Great siggy, Slay. I expect that single-handed, you will drive the cartel into the ground. Although I prefer to think of it as a consortium...

But that aside, now that you are on the Consortium blacklist, tell us, please... who is your favoured dealer?

I think we should be told.

  2. Around 50 - 60 half-turns is usual for a 6947.

But one of my Asian 6947s takes about 150 half-turns... low-geared, I suppose.

I love the watch (a Davidsen) so I don't gripe.

    Well, not much...

  3. www.banda.com will make a strap any size you want. So will HK Tan.

Here are some custom made Banda straps, in genuine crocodile and genuine alligator:

The Banda straps cost $80 and were on my wrist within a fortnight.

Here is a custom strap by HK Tan. Made from aged, distressed leather salvaged from a derelict railway coach. It took longer and cost more. No regrets on either score.

And yes... I have another HK Tan strap on order. Patience... patience...

  4. Look carefully and you will see that one end of the "T-piece" (the bit that goes into the buckle end of the strap) has a screwdriver slot in it. Simply unscrew, remove, wriggle the remaining bit into your strap and then replace the part you removed.

Be careful. Some of these deployants have two removeable parts. They can be a bugger to assemble again - yfor these, you'll need two screwdrivers, three hands and a lively sense of humour.

Having fitted it, you will probably find that the deployant is bloody uncomfortable and you'll will remove it and revert to a tang buckle as soon as possible.

  5. Hmmm... :g: now I even found this one, tan C look great...

The upside with Hktan is that I can customize it, the SC is 5,5mm thick and I would like it a little thinner

HkTan has a good reputation so I can
