  1. not full routine that your wife/ girlfriend does but something basic?

I sometimes for important meetings use menpen. But when there is a big function or party go little ahead and apply primer+ foundation+ concealer. Only my gf knows that I apply and no one has looked at me in funny way (at least i think).

I expect comments like real men dont use make up and all.

Mate... come on!!!! I've heard it all now.
  2. Who would buy this high-end edition??

That's quite a bit for something that needs to be replaced each year. I will pass thank you very much.

My thoughts exactly. Not to mention having to be charged several times a day!! Pathetic really.

Won't find me buying any wearable tech just yet.

  3. I apologize in advance. I know this question is asked all the time, and I've used the search function to get as much info as I can. I've been reading for a couple of weeks now.

The problem I'm running into is this: I feel like, from what I've read, the rep market is changing relatively quickly. A lot of the posts I've read are from the last decade, but it seems like the market is making much better replicas than even a few years ago.

My question, basically, is this: if I wanted to find the most visually perfect (I know I'm not going to find 1:1) off-the-shelf replica Submariner, where should I look?

It goes to show how friendly this forum is when you get a wealth of info. as opposed to nasty remarks that you would be likely to get on other lesser forums. I would go for TC sub myself, but as some people have pointed out on here already, familiarise yourself first before pulling the trigger.
  4. (Profitable) Trading is all about cash management. Don't risk anymore in 1 day than you are willing to lose in one day and have sufficient bankroll to make it back.

Stick to a philosophy.. trend following, mean reversion, elliot-wave, turtle, macro fundamental.. whatever.. just stick to it and take emotions out of the equation and dont flip flop. Good luck

I like to think that I'm quite disciplined, stick to a simple strategy, manage risk fairly well and I'm not greedy. I must admit that emotions may prove to be a little different when its your own money at risk but I am willing to give it a go. Thanks for the advice anyway. I may be picking your brain again...
  5. Have you tried trading yourself?

I have a very close friend who got interested in Forex trading from his brother in law when he moved out to Texas. He spend over a year doing make believe trades until he felt comfortable and knowledgeable enough to go for the real thing. He started with $3,000, which was probably his life savings at the time and lost all but a couple hundred within a month. He doesn't like to talk about that episode too much anymore.

In my humble opinion, Forex and commodity trading is best left to the professionals. And day trading stocks is right up there in the same league.

  6. Thanks Prancuzas. Im really after a print to make my own. There were some guys on a few of the forums a numbers of years ago who were distributing one...

Well You have a chance of getting one, but it will take time.

Me myself am a pretty good example.

Bought the 3227 with stock DW in somewhere June 2014.

After constant using of search box found one guy on Repgeek that had one 3227 with lello dw for sale about 1.5 year back (from now). Anyway his WTS thread gave a sign that he might wasnt able to sell it back then (stem problems), well right I was. He still had that watch. Although dial and hands were scratched, big ding on case existed, keyless was jacked and some of the numbers on DW were scratched/faded. Moreover, the dw looked like it was from the first batch (where few numbers had centering problems) anyway after short negotiation I made a purchase, so I have one lello'ed 3227 in my drawer waiting for a transplant :)

So, to conclude, after 6months of searching I now have one bad lello DW but I'm happy that I was able to dig some remains of rep business of 2010. ofcourse, time is not your friend here, so my advice look for whole watch coming up for sale with mods done (more chances than finding a spare dw).
