  1. those photos are mainly from a club called the new monkey in sunderland. shocking reputation! got closed down by the police i think after been rammed with underage kids.....no one drank in there; just took pills so the club didnt sell booze, just water and potnoodles! cant find the site.....used to have tons of photos on it, some hilarious ones. http://www.bassbounce.com/gallery/displayi...m=25&pos=25
  2. i always just use a small scalpel or razor blade, works everytime and only takes me about 2 mins to change metal or leather: just work the blade down the side of the strap and use it to wedge the springbar in.
  3. is the santos 100 not meant to have a smooth dial...the one in the pic appears to be rippled?
  4. I'm currently on the lookout for a decent watch to wear with a suit and from having a good look around the santos 100 looks like the best bet by a country mile. i remember a while back there was talk of having a new dial manufactured to effectively build a reasonably priced superrep.....did anything come of this project and/or are there any dealers stocking a fresh generation of the santos with a correct dial. in a nutshell im after a santos 100 with a gen eta, black leather SS case with a top class dial. any info much appreciated!
  5. looking at buying a watch possibly in parts to make a custom (possibly fantasy?) pam. got a few questions and hoping i could get some info/advice. im only thinking about the watch itself at the minute as ill be going for a better then stock leather strap and a rubber one. im wanting to go with a titanium 44mm case with a solid case back and a sandwich dial 117h maybe?(not totally clued up on pam models). possibly with sub dial @ 9. i want to have an eta automatic movement in it but im open to persuasion on the pros/cons of this against others. also if possible would like it to be waterproofed to a level where i can swim in the pool/sea...also open to hear any comments on this? im not in the market for a jaw dropping rep for tons of $$$ but want something that looks nice, is solid and will serve me well as a decent daily beater. richard. EDIT:on a side note...are the rep Ti cases real titanium? cheers again
  6. was about to say! wouldnt pay 12 pounds nevermind 120 for them. you got any suggestions on watches mate? maybe some sellers on here youd recommend to have a look at?
  7. dont you think they look a bit tacky?
  8. wow! there horrible! look like a 20$ quartz pos with some grenades screwed to them hope people dont think im been a bit picky when asking for your suggestions, to be more specific i like: panerai (radiomir and fiddy), HBB, Uboat. anyone think of anybrands/watches reps that have quite an untraditional design but still manage to look good? thanks
  9. anything a bit more obscure rather then the normal markers+seconds on bezel kind of design? something with a beefy crownguard kind of thing?
  10. looks like a nice watch but again looks quite "formal" kindof. im leaning more towards things that are quite "obscure"/not so mainstream with its design. also sorry i didnt mention it but im after something that isnt too heavily priced or a rep that has a reliable movement. thanks again guys
  11. hummm.....i familiar with the design, dont you think its quite a formal watch? anyone combined it with a pam style strap/got any wrist shots of this model? thanks for the quick reply!
  12. I've not posted on here a lot over the past 2 years but have read a lot. i know more then ill ever need to know about rolex/breitling/omega/panerai/tag etc but not enough about the lesser known brands. I own a number of watches but only one rep which is a decent but way too common sub. I'm on the lookout a big watch. i have some smart watches, some sporty but not one that i can wear on a night out with a tshirt or jumper etc thats slightly casual. im looking for suggestions for brands and models of watches that are 45mm+, NOT on a metal strap, maybe diver style (panerai/uboat) but i'm also open to suggestions? thanks!
  13. went to a freinds house and saw this amazing clock and thought you lot might admire its beauty; the picture dosent do it justice its a fantastic work of art
  14. my pick is paul at womart, he has the so called perfect sub with eta for $160.
  15. semi off topic: how do you get the crystal out; i want to rotate mine by a mill and its been put in a bit sloppy?
