  1. I got my on ebay from a guy called "cndoyuen" for $50.00 plus $5.00 shipping, he sells them with the upgraded glass lens which I believe is a must if your going to buy one.....
  2. That wasn't me I was talking about AND I do have FCKN eye protection plus all the common sense I need, I'll be just fine....
  3. I'm a real pushover for anything made of solid gold like this NOS Swiss made accutron and although it's a little smaller of a watch than the Swiss made chapter ring watch in my first post it is a NOS watch that has never been worn by anyone ever so it's lines are sharp and crisp and with it made out of 18kt solid gold I'm a bit nuts about it !
  4. While burning stuff I noticed every once and a while the camera would get a bright narrow vertical line flash across the middle of the video, I'm assuming that without proper eye protection that was potentially dangerous reflected laser light hitting the camera lens ?
  5. The thing that surprises me is that when my laser melts though the bic lighter it's actually powerful enough to ignite the remaining escaping gas but I've done it 3 times now and all 3 times it ignited the gas, Now if that doesn't show how dangerous less-collimated light in a very narrow wavelength of 445nm at 1.33 watts can be I don't know what else would besides a blind man but I'm hoping to avoid that.....
  6. Actually he's shooting the laser across the sink and onto a rock that he's using as a "back stop", He has the laser going over the sink with water in it because he's expecting things to catch fire and he can just drop whatever catches fire into the sink...... Hey that's just like my laser LOL
  7. And by "dimwit" I'm talking about the guy in the video............
  8. Thanks, I've never seen anybody do that before, I might have been the first so next I'll have to try it on a full Bic lighter and get what happens on video ! lol
  9. 1967 Factory Original Accutron Swiss Spaceview 18kt Solid Gold
  10. Here is something else you can do, My Thor M II 1.33 watt Blue laser with a upgraded Optical Glass Lens & metal housing versus a spent Bic lighter, There is always a little bit of gas left when it's dead and not only does this laser burn a hole in the lighter but it lights the remaining gas left in the lighter ! It would have done it faster if I would have held the laser more still.....
  11. I found two practical uses for it, A cigarette lighter and for safely lighting fireworks from a distance without risk of blowing off a finger from a "M-80" !
  12. Only if they break into my house, Then it's laser to the face ! lol
  13. You can do stuff like this for one thing...... But mostly it's just really cool to have a laser so powerful it will burn though things like a mild light saber !
  14. Have fun burning stuff, I always wanted a powerful laser but anything close to this cost $600 in the past but for $50 I sad what the heck ! only if you shoot it at airplanes.....
  15. It's on it's way as I write this, Thanks for the warning !
  16. Yes, So far I've only shot it up into the night sky.... I got the Thor M II upgraded laser, It has a glass lens set in a metal housing which keep the housing from melting and ups the power to over 1.3 watts !
  17. Actually it's closer to a 1.3 watt class 4 blue laser ! It's so powerful it burns stuff ! Out side at night if you shoot it up in the sky it looks like a fine beam blue light saber that goes on forever !
  18. This should be the only proof you could ever want ! This is a genuine factory original 1963 Accutron Astronaut...... Once again this is the watch that John McKay is sporting in that NASA photo..... There can be no doubt that it's CLEARLY a 1963 Accutron Astronaut, End of story, End of your nonsense........
  19. I'm the only one here with ALL the proof (post #1) and you have nothing to show that watch is anything but a 1963 Astronaut ! Talk about theory and conjecture, Everybody and their horse knows you don't have to wait until the change of the new year to buy the new model, How do you not know that ? Please keep your nonsense as well as yourself out of my threads, The admin warned you to stay out of my threads don't make me report you, Your nonsense is just a waste of my time....... Here go buy a 2017 model watch and them tell me it's "pure fantasy", What is wrong with you ? Buy 2017 Model Wristwatches Today !
  20. Nonsense, You most certainly could buy next years model if it was towards the end of the year and you knew the best dealers ! And I've always said it's a 1963 Astronaut with a M3 date code ? I say that because I looked at it and without a doubt it's a 1963 Astronaut......
  21. Heck with a pilot of his caliber I doubt he even paid for that watch out of pocket, It's very possible that watch was gift of some kind, Call it whatever you want but Bulova would have loved to get someone of his statured photographed wearing one of their watches !
  22. I've seen my fair share of 1962 Astronaut watches and not one of them ever had a "Standard" dial, And at the same time I've seen a ton of Astronaut watches with a "Standard" dial and everyone of them have had a date code of 1963 or higher Sooooo........ The burden of proof is sits squarely on you to prove that what you are suggesting has any credibility or is even possible because with all the evidence that currently exists there is nothing to suggest that watch is anything but a 1963 Astronaut......
