  1. This has to be one of the best quartz reps I've seen - the fact that it has the right chrono function sets it apart from any other quartz chrono rep I've seen. Only big (maybe not that big) flaw I noticed was that the "Swiss Made" text should be between the 2 lower rings, not on/under the bottom one. The caseback is fairly accurate, but the model number is off - should be CAC111B.
  2. Wow, nice review azerbyjam. I'm definitely going to have to get this rep. Maybe I'll pick up a couple of watches from Silix. He (she?) has some pretty good prices. Thanks!
  3. A 2-tone navitimer would definitely get noticed, or a 2-tone Bentley GT with a white face (bling, bling!)
  4. I had to re-check that. It does say swiss quartz. Did you get just the watch, or the boxed set? If you can post pics of what you get too that would be awesome!
  5. I was wondering if anyone here got the Indy from silix-prime. I wanted to know if it was really a swiss quartz (1/10 chrono) as it says 'cause the price is pretty good. I think I paid that much for my gold plated plastic SEL back in the day.
  6. I can almost guarantee that Popastuey is a scammer and all his watches are replicas. I don't know about this Balmon guy though. His feedback is pretty good and he buys a lot of stuff from a lot of different sellers. He seemed genuinely interested in my opinion of the timewalker. First thing most people say when they see a nice watch on someone who's wearing a pair of jeans is "it's fake" so people hear that a lot. I've had people tell me genuine Rolex's were fake 'cause all Rolex's have "glareproofed sapphire" crystals, not "plastic" or "there's no serial number on the back like there should be" so he's heard that too. But when you point out 10 or 12 subtle inconsistencies, and 3 glaring errors, and then back it up with pictures, they take you a little more seriously.
  7. Funny, I've been "chatting" with Balmon (who won the auction on that horribly fake Bentley I posted) and he sent me a link to one of Popastuey's auctions that he won asking for my opinion. It was an IWC (280132319576 ). I told him I don't know IWC's but 2 of the pictures are stock and the rest are way out of focus, so I'd assume the worst. Then I read Popastuey's feedback and checked his auctions. He claimed to have bought 2 IWC's at an estate sale, but ended up selling 4 of them somehow. Balmon paid @2250 for his, but the next 3 auctions ended around the $500 mark.
  8. http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...em=300135204343 Reported this and contacted the seller 2 days ago before there were any bids. He claimed it was genuine and posted pictures of back "to prove it" Check out the cleverly placed fake price tag. I guess there's a sucker born every minute.
  9. Check out auction number 330151383028. It's supposedly an all stainless Bentley GT with a "D" model number. Reported and contacted and seller ended original listing and thanked me for warning him 'cause he had believed it was genuine as he claimed to have paid $7000 in his original ad, but the he re-listed and sold it.
