  1. JTB, it is another forum buy & sell section. It is a Panerai... And this is driving me nuts. NUTSSSSSSSSS!!!

I know some people have a life other than selling watches, I mean seriously, don't post you want to sell them when you can't even answer your mails! :bangin::bangin:

  2. Dammit! Here I am emailing a bunch of sellers (not sellers here) to try and buy a damn watch and all of them replied saying they will email me within a few hours with pictures and so far, nothing is happening!! Is it that HARD to buy a watch? I need THAT WATCH, DAMMIT!

I send you money, you send me watch.

    Simple.

Apparently not. Driving me up the wall. Really is.

I want to secure the watch as they are many potential buyers and I want to get it before it is gone...

According to club panerai, this watch was spotted in the 2006 SIHH and is limited to 500 pieces under contemporary collection. Looks good though, don't you think?

  4. you don't think that you should be treated with respect if you ware your gen into a ad? hell yes they had better treat you with respect. if you drive your bently into a bently dealership you can bet your ass you will be treated with respect. if you are not, you call bently and report them. the next time you go there you will be treated with lots of respect. any time you spend stupid amounts of money on something you could have bought at 1/10 of the price, rolex or timex, bently or cheverolet, you can drive or tell time with either. when you spend that much money you bought their respect because you are a potential return customer and thats how they make their living. where i live the rolls royce dealer lost his dealership for that very reason. makeing to many customers mad. rolls told them to change the way they treated their cusomers. they did not and rolls royce pulled their dealership and they went out of buisness. money buys respect all day. it's just the world we live in.

I have better money to spend than to spend on getting "respect" from people that I don't even care about. I tend to show an appreciation for people who shows respect for the right reasons and not how much money I have in the bank or what kind of car I am driving or which luxury watch what I am wearing.

  5. A few questions... What watches were you wearing? Did you get the typical female stare at you're watch from the woman followed by "Oooh, it's so big." Or did you get the line "is that a PAM in you're pocket or are you glad to see me." Or did you come back with the classic PAM pick-up line - "My watch strap doubles as a whip." :)

    HAHAHAH GOLD!! :lol::lol::thumbsupsmileyanim:

  6. Surfing on Joshua's website and stumbled into the 202. I don't wanna rip his pics on here unless he gives permission but anyhow here is the link:

The dial has some flaws on it but overall looks pretty good. The crown is definitely too thin. The screw locks on pushers are too thin as well. Based on the measurement display on the post Josh made over her, the diameter of this 202 is indeed smaller. The bezel diameter should be 47mm, excluding the crown guard. Nevertheless, I think we are off to a good start. I am definitely hoping for a more improved version. Will I buy this? Well, never say never.....

  7. No I was actually making the point that no matter what you wear into those AD's they are going to be [censored]. Several people have commented in this thread that they "feel better" wearing a gen, which to me is ridiculous! I buy watches because I do love them to bits. I wear watches with pride because of the same reasons. Why I love watches, I do not know, but I do so I'll probably keep on buying them. As I get older and my income grows larger I will more than likely begin to include more gens into my collection. But unless something drastic happens I will always include reps in my hobby! Oh and I will gladly wear my reps into an AD a feel confident doing so, afterall I'm not going to hand it to the AD and say "hey check this out, respect me and worship me because I have this $10,000 watch, oh and while you are at it here's my income statement, and why don't you run my credit too!" :whistling: Sorry but I'm not nearly that shallow, not even close. I should too probably mention that when I did wear my Gen Breitling into an AD I was also wearing flip-flops, jeans, and a t-shirt with pride I might add! :thumbsupsmileyanim: Feck em, feck em all!

    Jon :yu:

    LOL @ "feck em all"...haha

Jon, I got your point crystal clear. :) Thanks for clearing it up. Yes I fully agree that watches should not be bought to show off how much it is worth in $$ but rather how much you value the watches based on the simple fact that you simply like them.

  8. For a while, I couldn't stand the reps that I have. Everytime I took a glance at my wrist, I saw a bunch of flaws and it bugged me. It bugged me really bad. And even though I hated those flaws, I constantly find myself giving in to reps. I am a fickle-minded person in some ways when it comes to purchasing stuff. So I like to try them on and see if I like them. And if I like them a whole lot, I would then go out and buy a gen. And that was what I did. I got a monster gen which I am very VERY happy about and I am already thinking which ones to get next.

I have owned previous gens before I got into reps. It is funny that those gens that I bought are just sitting there. The only reason why I am not giving them up is because of sentimental value. If I would have gotten the reps of the gens beforehand, NO WAY would I have bought them. Ah well.

If you like a watch very much, so much so that it drives you up the wall, can't stop thinking about it 24/7, by all means, if you have the ca$h, go splurge on a gen. I would do the same.
