  1. Looking good! In the first post, it looks like the case on top is slightly thinner- which case is that?
A couple of 2846-2s and you'd be in fat city!
The top one is hr reworked by@rolojack and the bottom one is silix

New case for the silix, it's still a silix case but with metal welded on the lugs by@dlf and reshaped by@rolojack a71ba3d1a42fb4834e087f84ddf1144b.jpg7fc655cccaf2766fac01fad13d03f6a5.jpg01ed1766f01f19dfadbf5dccb667423f.jpgad86d35da62d8c2d64292369968fbb3a.jpg

  2. For my latest build I used an hws 308. It's bigger and has a lip round the outside edge.
I applied a thin coat of hypo cement to the outside edge of the lip (very thin) and let it dry over night, this acts as a gasket.
Then compress the crystal with a crystal lift in till you can fit it in the opening and once you release the pressure from the clamp it's a pretty decent seal and no messy glue to clean up and a bit more water resistant too

  3. I still didn't quite figure how to remove the bezel here. Neither the crystal. I have a much better one but dont want to break the original crystal.
The bezel simply wont come off!
You just take the bezel insert out then you can see a gap round the inner edge of the bezel, use a thin screwdriver and pull out the wire inside and then the bezel just comes off,
The crystal on the silix case is glued in and can take a fair amount of force to get out and will probably break. Glue needs to be removed , soak in acetone and carefully scrape it out
To put the bezel back on just sir it on the case and push the retaining wire back in

  4. This is my latest edition to my collection,

It started life as a humble silix case and had extra metal welded on to the lugs by@dlf

It was then 're shaped and polished by@rolojack and an athaya crown and tube.

The dial is a custom one from hr and a Swiss 2836 movement .

Thanks to rolojack and dlf for making my latest build possible 1bd4a86a5da30739580aa54caf588501.jpg4d29005b779b396ee1b41e65f886951c.jpg6c8ae44eadcb52ef842f7af30706321f.jpg5de94af5d7c0b3955270c17b7f35cbe1.jpg
