  1. Figured i'd put this in a new post so by-tor can link this in the breitling sticky. I put together some quick and dirty comparison shots of my gen slate grey skyland and dave_nyc's rep. Hope this helps anyone who's on the fence about this rep. Besides the lume, this rep looks almost identical. Definitely one of the most accurate rep's we have seen in awhile. Enjoy :D

  2. Hey there, looks good! I suggest looking @ bob's breitling straps they are pretty good quality - or just buy a gen strap they aren't that expensive, about $150 or so and you wont regret it, breitlings leather straps are amazing - some of the best feeling leather i've ever worn..Here's my gen skyland on bob's honey tan gator..hope this helps!

and here its on the gen strap that it came with..IMO it looks much better on black leather

  3. Rolexman, the jerky second hand is normal on watches this big. On my gen it is also a little bit jerky, nowhere near as smooth as my gen BCE. When I first bought it, I immediately noticed it and asked my friend at the AD and he told me that it's perfectly normal. I've also seen many posts on TZ talking about this. On the super avenger the second hand is even more jerky, bigger the watch the more jerky it gets

  4. Thanks guys! He's like me, can't really pull off gold but either way it's quite a feat in itself be able to test his skills and take down 1 of the best player's in the world (and 5 time bracelet winner) - ted forrest heads up. He's on cloud 9. Also, I don't think the bracelet can be sized up, and he has a small wrist like me - but this thing looks 100x better in person :D

  5. I know a few members were actually considering buying the gen of this watch, some im trying my best to illustrate the minute differences between the rep and the gen (from the pics at least)..This is as good as it gets guys!! The average person would never be able to tell the difference, a trip to The Zigmeister to fix the lume and it would be perfect! The only thing i've noticed is the lugs, which taper down a little to quickly on the rep and seem a bit too angular, whereas on the gen its a smooth curve.. what this equates to (when the pro2 is released) is the lug ends sticking up a bit from the case, at least this is what i suspect - i think this was a problem on the nearly perfect SFSO..Again, this is really picking it apart, like i said this is as good as it gets. Good thing i held out on the v1 because i'm getting myself the blue 1 of these..This is so you guys can see what im talking about, my gens on the left

  6. My brother who plays poker for a living managed to win an event at this years world series of poker pocketing a little over a quarter million and this stunning corum gold bracelet. Needless to say, my family is extremely proud of him. Winning a bracelet is every poker players dream so you can only imagine how happy he is. And since corum makes this beauty, i thought I would share it with you guys before it gets appraised and goes off to the bank. Solid gold with diamonds encrusted, really incredible in person

  7. It's good to see that half of the subdials are indeed textured, however - unless my eye's are playing tricks on me the blue dial version - on the other half of the subdial (the non-textured half) is the complete wrong color? It should be the same exact color as the dial whereas the other half is a lighter shade of blue? Am i going crazy? Because earlier today i got into an argument with a friend, i thought something was black but he was seeing it as dark green :o

  8. DBR is right, I believe the first 100 or so blacksteel's did not have the half textured subdials but all of the SS models certainly do regardless of when they were produced, this i know 100% because i remember seeing the pics of their website when the skyland was originally released awhile back. its really hard to tell from the dealer pics if they got the subdials right, you have to be looking at the dial from a certain angle to see this- again i'll repost this pic of mine so you can see the dial treatment and the effect that it gives, it's something i particularly like about the skyland and breitling has implemented this feature on the 08 super avenger..either way i think they hit a homerun with this rep, will probably be picking up a blue 1 myself and will do a side by side review of the gen/rep..also, the BS's are becoming increasingly scarce..i tried to get my hands on one before picking up the SS but my AD said they are next to impossible to get now in 08, only shot is on eBay- so when they rep that 1 i will definitely be getting it! now if only they did a pvd'd pro2

  9. FXR, it 100% will not fit. The only reason I know this is because i purchased my skyland on a leather strap and than ordered the Pro II a week later. Well, my AD accidentally ordered me a SFSO bracelet instead of the right pro II for my skyland. I told them to try and put it on, and it did not fit because of the lug ends which are curved on the steelfish, but straight across on the skyland. look at the picture below of mine
