been reading the forum for weeks and decided on a UPO
really cant wait for it to come!
was deciding btw the aquaracer and UPO chose UPO over aquaracer as the movement is better...
almost!!! I had something else shipped from CN as well using EMS, it took only 3 days (leaving CN to my doorstep)!
The dealer told me that it will take 3 days to reach SG, since it was sent 22, I should have recv it either ytd or today...
Nw I'm not getting any replies from the dealer as well... am getting frustrated!
Am getting paranoid man!
The EMS tracking states that it was sent out on the 22nd, till now it shows that it is stuck in China...
Do I have cause for worry? (Heard that some ppl got their watch stolen etc.)
Help!
If i am not wrong, UPOs only refer to the 45.5 mm. I from reading ard that they do not have the crown stripping syndrome but its best to wait for an expert to validate. Cheers
Thanks Bazz... sorry for the confusion, still kinda new to all these. So the stem we are referring to is the ETA part, and the crown and tube the gen Omega parts?
yeah heard that the thread problem is across all upo (lites and norm)...
heard that it is also hard to repair / replace and the gen parts (e.g. from Ofrei) wun fit?

Hi searched and found this...
Quoting bruce79 : "I agree. The threads are questionable. Doesn't really affect the appearance of the watch but it's very tough to screw in. Just have to be super careful when screwing in...always back 3/4 turn, then slowly forward. We'll see how long it lasts. Has anyone installed a gen tube/crown?
Hope this helps.
Btw by-tor mentioned that some peeps have installed the gen tube/crown combo.
Hope some experts can shed some light and show us the way
I checked with Ruby and she replied that it is the UPO as sold by other dealers (AR coating, ETA movement etc.)
dlanzer, is the threading on the tube ok?
I think we can get parts from Ofrei http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=50774
However I'm not sure how to replace the crown and tube.
Experts, any tips?
