Again your research skills have left you stranded
The wm9 and the watch you seek are not even of the same reference
Nobody had taken the subC on to the level personal modders ect have of the 5 digit.
However BK would get you a noob model with his mods to make it a little better than stock
You're welcome

By 5 digit do you mean the Explorer II an the “Kermit”?
were these two particular models more successful in the attempt to liken the gen over other models?
with the BK mod of the noob does it bring it closer to the 5 digit in as in being passable as a gen?
i like the Kermit and might consider it, but my heart was set on the subc. And I might start to explore the possibilities of a frank. In you opinion what parts are most important to be swapped out. Or what alterations should I consider?

Mate the best one is the one YOU can live with which flaws
Lets see
Do you want 3135 rep movement and case or would you be content with a 2836 eta clone.
Better dial with worse case
Better case with worse dial
Better insert and pearl vs better SEL fitment
What about crystal
How about those crowngaurds
Based on your knowledge shown it doesn't matter which on you get as long as it isn't a canal st junker
Most hated question on all rep forums?
Your question
Who has the best sub

Xj43574sonX you silly goose...
I don’t know what gave you that impression.
I get it you know allot about watches and slightly up yourself. You are right though I do not know allot about watches. I do however have extensive expertise in sound engineering and I frequent allot of the producer sound eng forums. Where allot of kids and ppl ask questions like “what’s that magic button to make my record sound like a major release” ....there is obviously no such thing but there is a path to start to understand how a major record sounds the way it does. I lead them on that path what I don’t do is act like a [censored] I leave that to those producers who “think” they know allot but have accomplished very little.
I understand it’s not such a simple Q to answer however by doing a bit of research it seams like a few years ago there was a big rave about the WM9. If that’s the case then it’s not so far fetched to think that there would have been a replacement over time. There usually is a product on the market that stands out from the comp. Another good indication is what is everyone else doing?
These are all questions anyone looking into purchasing their first rep would be asking.
Maybe there should be a Q&A sticky post where these common questions are answered and kept up to date.

Oh geez, that is now what I meant. I meant most people can't identify a rep on the wrist unless it is a really bad rep. If it is a good rep, 99.9% (or more) of people won't know it is a rep on the wrist. I did not mean to imply that replica was 99.9% close to gen. Putting a percentage on how close a rep is to gen is purely subjective. The video points out some of the flaws. None of the reps off the shelf are perfect. Some are better, some are worse. Some people spend many hundreds, and even into the thousands, of dollars creating 'Franken versions of reps that are much closer to gen but still not 100% gen.
In your opinion what is considered the best SubC Rep at the moment?

Datewheel. Crystal. Insert and you're good to go...
Is the date wheel replaced or just adjusted? And what incert to replace, are you talking a gen or are there other Rep options out there?

As you can see from this video, with a really good rep, 99.9% of people will not be able to tell the difference between the rep and a gen.
The rep in the video is this considered a 99.9% rep? I mean would this be the top end of reps on the market?
And can anyone name the rep in the video?

Could someone please help me.
I want to buy a Rolex Sub Cer Date (Im guessing 114060).
After searching here Im a right in that the 'Noob v7' currently the latest and best on the market?
Im looking for a watch maker to do some mod and possibly franken my watch.
With a long menu of mod options it is hard to know what the main things I should be looking at or considering for my sub.
Could someone please help suggest to me what mods or fixes are a good idea to look at when trying to improve a Noob Sub? (Im not 100% sure where the newer (newest) models are lacking or "incorrect" What options should I be looking at?
Please any help would be greatly appreciated.

Looks pretty good minus the SEL's (I guess... lol still having a hard time picking things out).
How would you rate Seadweller to the Noob Sub date?
Not talking taste, but build and likeness to its gen?
-
Thanks for all your feedback.
I will keep reading..
but you are saying that there are clear differences in the arms, bezel and dial that “give the watch away”.
Is this more a case of “be proud of your rep for what it is a rep” instead of “how passable is my rep compared to the gen” ???
Can anyone tell me what Sub rep is depicted in this video?
-
Sorry I am new to all of this but have been doing my research in the forums.
As a nob I still can’t wrap my head around some things..
lookin for a Rolex Sub date Ceramic.
My understanding is that the noob is the best rep of this gen?
i have had a look at some pictures and they look really good.. I understand that there is no 100% Rep.
but what is different on the noob’s from the gen apart from the “inner workings” I’m guessing materials used.. but visually what are the differences that give the noob away as a rep?

I am only finding my way around this forum. I do not really know who is around here. I use my own watchmaker. He works on my watches on the quiet. So I am just lucky

The V6s is unavailable now and hard to get but they do come up in M2M but rarely and are gone in no time.
To get close buy a Sub with a SA3135, not reliable but can be swapped for a gen 3135 or SH/Yuki 3135. Then find a gen dial. Gen parts are not that easy to find but with some networking you will get to know how to find these parts. 116610 Frankens come up regularly in M2M sales on my home forum.
There are plenty of modders out there who can do this work. Just like buying from a TD read about them and decide who to go with. The rep watch rabbit hole is a dangerous one. For example a franken 16613 cost me probably 60% of the gen price. A true franken SMP 2531.80 cost me 90% of the gen price I ended up selling the parts and going gen.
Wow, it really adds up.
Could you plz point me in the right direction to find credible modders?

nice, is there anywhere I can see the V6s model, I see allot of subs but hard to know what model Im looking at old or new etc?
Yes my understanding is that you will get a great looking watch for a fraction of the price of a gen... however half of the challenge has to be "how close is it to the real deal" (aesthetically). With modifications exactly how lose to the real deal can you get it?
And who will do further mods to a rep? Have PM's BK he replied one message but then hasn't got back to me (might be busy).
Im really keen to know.. Im ready to dive down the rabbit hole

Thanks guys I have taken a break for a few days, Trying to get my watch mojo back
Noobs are very well built. They can be a bit sharp out of the box but wear nicely. They by no means look cheap or tacky. They use 316L sttel as opposed to Rolex 904L steel. Supposedly 904 is less prone to scratching but steel is steel it will scratch gen or rep unless you are stupid careful with it and the what would be the point. I prefer reps because you can enjoy wearing them without having to feel protective.
This is a 3 year old Noob V2 It still look amazing in my humble opinion. The bracelets are even better on the newer ones and ARF are now repping Rolex in 904L steel and it look like they are doing a great job.
Thanks for the reply. Watch looks great from pictures 3 years on, what model is that, does it have the ceramic bezel?
You mentioned ARF are using the gen steel, sorry but who are ARF and how do I find their products?
Also I notice that the dial on most of the reps when it comes to the font, they just dont quite match, spacing of letter and the font is just slightly off. At least on the Noob subs... is there any way to get a more accurate dial?
-
Wow it is absolutely amazing to see the quality and likeness of the reps produced today. It is actually mind blowing. While the mission for the holly grail the one AA replica that is 100% indistinguishable from the gen might still be a myth, the game has certainly come a long way.
My question is what rep model/brand has been able to perfect itself the most to its gen counterpart?
The Rolex Sub is the most recognisable watch out there with its distinctive design. Not so strange it is also the most replicated watch out there too. Has this helped the evolution of the Sub Rep.. or because the Gen Sub is so notorious made it harder to “pass” as gen because of its notoriety?
The Sub is also a fairly complicated watch as in it has allot of parts being a diver so more to replicate and more space for error. Are there other brands/models out there with maybe a simpler design that are harder to destinguish the Rep from the gen?
in your opinion who is the “winner” so far when it comes to clone vs gen?
-
How are the oyster bracelets for the Subs compared with the Gen's? Look wise and quality...will they scratch easier? Do they feel cheap and nasty to the touch?
-
Where do you order one from?
Hulk looks super nice! Just out of curiosity what difference does that rep Hulk have against a Gen (not talking internally) but what would "give it away" to a nob like me just seeing it like that it looks super legit.

Hi, Im new here..
I don't want to ask a silly question. I have tried to do several searches in the forum but cant exactly find the most updated answer to my question.
Is there anywhere/buyer where they sell modern high quality Rolex Sub's?
Or is it a case that no one will have a high end replica to the best standard but instead a "better replica" and then its up to you (the buyer) to modify and change parts to make it a high end replica.
I just wish there was someone with the know of all the latest developments in parts etc who was moding and selling the best possible options?
