  1. I suppose I wasn't alone in reporting it :)

    nope :p

Yea its a shame people are so gullible, obviously I enjoy replicas, but not when there trying to be passed off as gen. ps... for anyone who read that little story, any AD would be able to spot a 30 dollar flea market fake in 2 seconds., just my 2 cents

  2. the biggest issue I have is the fact that you used to be able to and most likely still can purchase a rep with a gen swiss val 7750 for like 750... and you know it will never break down. if the asian movent's had a better track record, no one would complain, but my self included HAVE speant close to 300 just on repairs for 7750 reps on 4 seperate occasions, most of them breitlings, and a daytona. I could have bought a nice seiko. just my 2 cents

  3. U-boat is a hot watch. it's NOT one that should be slept on. people would buy one my self included. look at how hot those hideous bell and rosses did and they are in the same catagory as these u-boats imho. that being said, king has some inexpensive quartz models.http://www.kingwatches.net/.

not 7750, but like was said earlier, they are coming. as far as obscurity, they make romain jerome reps. I doubt half the world knows what that is, i bet alot of memembers dont. just because a watch isnt rolex or breitling doesnt mean it shouldnt be repped. an obscure replica just makes the watch seem more gen. just my 2 cents

  4. its the same reason there's not that many rep movado's or seiko's or luminox's or watches like these. with the standards we have set, the price would not jusify buying replicas, at this point just get the real one. rw's are all over ebay for less. I got a brand new parsifal for a friend of mine for 300 dollars.

  5. yea, I would love to see a bp too, but the problem remains of repping a movement with a 7 DAY power reserve. Not saying it cant be dont (remember the days before the invention of asian 7750 chrono's) but It's alot harder then it sounds. I am skeptical, but we shall see :rolleyes:B)

  6. its not bad, I agree with what was said, but I think branching off to more obscure brands is a step in the right direction. There was supposed to be a concord c1 coming out in mid june. there were pics on joshes and andrews website. now that watch has dissapeared from radar. I would much rather save up for that :p
