  1. I also have a white dial SA and from the minute I recieved it the dial was a weird off white and not the brilliant white it is on the gen. But i knew that the dial was not going to be pure white as other members had already informed me before I ordered it. those other issues are odd though.. i have not noticed any peeling of my numbers of a change of color any different from the original, but i understand your concern I probably should have gone for black or blue as those dials (esp black) seem to be closer to the original. you cant really mess up black, but then again i thought you couldnt mess up white either. :D good luck
  2. just ordered one from andrew... very excited. i told myself no more watches after i bought my gen steelfish and of course i cant stop. pics when it gets here
  3. has anyone bought one yet though? how close is it the gen as far as performance or looks.
  4. thanks for the awsome review. i was considering buying the red faced model from andrew. he has it for usd 118.
  5. yea those lumes on the seiko monsters are sick. my orange monster glows brighter then my gen steelfish. its crazy
  6. ive gotten used to the dial, its not the bright white that the original is, but that may have something to do with the AR coating, I'm not sure, although my photography skills are horrible. it reall doenst look that silver in person, its actually a sweet watch, especially with the gen rubber strap on there
  7. I believe the bracelet serial number placement is also innacurate. if it comes on the pilot professional 2 style braclet, it should have the same markings as the steelfish.. idk about this for sure, im not claiming it to be a fact, but im almost certain, also, the other features noted by memebers plus price point. however, concerning price, it is a fair observation that most of us, my self included have at least one or more gen pieces in there collection. those who do not have certainly invested enough money into projects that they could easily afford to purchase the gen. so at some point the watch collecting of reps becomes like owning a piece of contriband artwork. how close can the factories come to producing clones of the worlds most prominant lux brands? At what point will we decide to simply purchase the watch baised on whether we like the looks andf npot whether the case hole lugs are drilled within .000002 centimeters of the orginal, or some other detail no except a brietling or rolex representative would ever notice just my two cents, sorry, it must be the espresso
  8. it depends on what you think is horrible and what you think is deceant. this watch sucks and wouldnt fool any brietling person who knows anything at all about breitlings. the funniest things for me are the tiny "b" on the case lug on the back sans omega , and the clear back...
  9. idk if the spare ETA would fit, however the less expensive rolex models from the dealers is good product most def. The only difference is the the movement from what I am aware. They use the same case set and dials, just different movements. here are some quick (read: poor quality and fastly taken) pictures of my turno-o graph impulse buy from joshua the watch is great for the price. you cannot beat it
  10. oh i know, but i cooudlnt find a pic of a blinged out bracelet
  11. yes, i see that now the white is more of a silver. its still very classy, put i feel as though i was mislead. did anyone else order white
  12. joshua delivered my white face SA today. I have yet to take pics, and there are some really small mods i am going to do... gen rubber strap, gen bezel... but I am decidining if i should take pics of it as is first. its a beast
  13. yep the real one is a completely different url... jk
  14. that site offers replica seiko 5's no less, the least expensive seiko automatic you can poss get. lol. i can see replication of like a red or blue monster, which are rare models, or like a seiko credor or grand seiko, both there more high end models, but the seiko 5, thats like repping not just a swatch, but one of those 40 dollar kids plastic swatches they sold in the 80's
  15. if you think the skyland has too much bling..
  16. grade A++++ or should I say D +++ genuine silicone coated, as per swiss standards water resistant, straight from factory all parts interchangable with genuine ones :p
  17. strictly for crack smokers... lol... whittney told us crack was wack... haha. ive seen fake seiko's before, i think I even had one when i was like, 12 lol, but they were junk, 8 dollars fron canal street if that. I was shocked at the apparent quality of some of the divers reps and seiko 5's, which are not that expensive to begin with, or so I thought. I have three seikos, a 5, an orange monster and a actura kinetic, but now Im questioning there realness :D next up for next month, replica timex :D
  18. I always wondered about this. I have a gen SFSO and i just bit the bullet and ordered an SA. It has not come yet, but I alreday have a gen rubber strap which I will install either right away if the bracelet feels cheap or later f I can live with the quality. My friends have gen SA's and the things are massive in both size diameter and wieght. a gen is no thatt shy of a pound! anyway, I digress. the answer of the original question is the skyland is indeed polished while the sfso is brushed. they are both the pilot 2 professional style bracelet. i cant tell you how cheap or not cheap it feels since i havent recieved it yet. Im sure it cant match the gen for its proce point, but stranger things have happened
  19. all I can say is big in japan... i had no clue that there were such advanced seiko reps out there... completley pointless IMHO http://quartzimodo.info/articles/how-to-sp...ke-seiko-watch/
  20. the crystal thing is somthing that 90 % or people wouldnt know about anyway. it would be a lot of trouble for nothing imho
  21. price is price and you usually get what you pay for. I realise in this field thats not always so, but for the most part, a 65 dollar watch is no where near a 300 dollar or more watch. That being said, for the most part canal street is sh*t, HOWEVER if you stay on here long enough and know what to look for, you can find great buys on canal street. again, it depends on who you know and what you know about watches. THEY WILL try and take advantage of you, since most of canal is tourists. your best bet is to stick to the dealers on this site. they will not steer you wrong (for the most part .
  22. I do appologize if this is the wrong medium for this question, but how much are the dials going for?
  23. that would be a sweet rep! domed crystal and all
