Will there be any problems re: customs duties, etc?
-
I think Andrew is already located in CN so he does not drop ship...
I need to vent my anxiety folks...There's a lot of crowd during Christmas season. Order 2 watch on 9 dec. still not receive my tracking, usualy, I receive my tracking 2-3 days after buying. I email Andrew last week to be sure that I didn't by accident skip/delete an "important" email, if you know what I means, ask me to be patient, he will send it soon. I begin to be little about all this. Andrew is a drop-shipper or not?
I just hope to receive them and have time to prepare them for the next chief AR runs

Thanks for the suggestion...Now looking for a serious buyer on my SFSO...
Sure. IMO it's a high quality rep of a mediocre (at best) watch. Not sure if that helps you one way or the other, though. -
That is what I am thinking...very nice watch specially with all the mods...
Mine is the white/silver dial...
You will not be disappointed with the 3717; especially if you have the modifications done. -
do you think its the right decision?

Thanks...can you send me a link on ebay where I can get the eta 7750?
didn't care about till now, but let's make a calclation:$288 @ andrew ~ $30 for shipping
$280 @ ebay for ETA7750 + $12 for shipping
$55 @ k2222 for AR + $20 for crystal installing
-----------------
~ a little less than $ 700,-
... I think it's worth every cent.

yesterday I received back my case of my 3717 from k2222's 3rd DoubleARrun
after putting it together again it looked like he forgot to put back the crystal into the case...
... but when I tried to touch the dial I realized that k222 did a really great job!!
Played around with my gasgasbones strap - and I like the look.
I think I've finished now: 3717 with gen. swiss ETA7750, gen. ETA DayDate wheels from cousins, DoubleAR by k2222. Or has someone suggestions for my next mod?
Wow! Very nice...how much did you spend all in all with the mods? I think the last mod you can do is the superlume...
Looks great!!!As a last mod you could change the brass subdial pinions for silver like the gen has........
Who can do this mod??
-
Very noticeable difference on the stock lume...very nice!
Thanks for sharing...
Some dodgy pics of the Lume! Canon 5D with 35mm F1.4L -
Can you post lume shots? Thats a nice watch you have there!
Lumed by The Zigmeister, looks pretty good!Installed with genuine leather strap & deployant! Love this watch now

Stephane, thanks for the info...how much did you get your ETA 7750 movement??
The genuine 3717 here in my location is about $ 4000 and the fully modded rep will cost about $ 1000...
do you think it is really worth it??
Thanks again guys....@Stagfan
This watch is not cheap.
It's going to end at around 1K USD.
But, again, the $ is so low that in euro is sounds better:

Hi Stephane, very nice watch indeed...
Im curious, how much have you spent on this watch with all the mods plus the ETA movement?
A 3717 with genuine Eta Day/Date Wheels, a new strap and genuine K2222 Anti Reflect Coating
Dear All,
Recently I started a thread looking for advices about straps for the IWC 3717.
Some very nice members gave me advices here.
I must say that I didn't follow most of them (I couldn

Here are some wrist shots...

I am sorry if my thread caused this problems. I was just asking for other peoples opinions before making a purchase. I dont intend to ask a stupid question.
Thanks for all your suggestions.

Go with the fully modded ones like TWP, or try Angus' 111. You may also want to check out the full mod versions of Vac.
-
Is it ok to wear a brown croc strap if you are wearing black leather shoes?
-
Im also curious as to what are the differences between this new version and the perfect ones...
-
I dont know if TTK still has some stocks left. Try narikaa or bklm1234.

Wrong Chopard font on the dial, incorrect spacing on the "1000 MIGLIA" below Chopard...

If I can find the old asian, is it a straight swap to the ETA movement?
Which is the super rep, the old asian swapped with ETA or the new asian 7750?
Thanks again!
-
Are the old asian version still available? Im looking for the ETA 7750 movt and it seems I cant find one. There is one on ofrei.com but it is expensive (400$)
I guess I will just have to settle for the asian version then if nothing comes up.
Thanks scoobs!
If you go for reliability I would advise you just to service the movement the rep comes with. All unserviced movements - either ETA or Asian - are a bit of a gamble. Besides that, if your watch doesn't have a slowbeat Asian 7750 (nearly all the new ones have the high beat) it is not a 1:1 swap. The hands won't fit and need to be glued someway. In the end it'll cost you extra money. Money that you also can use for servicing the original movementHowever, if you do have an old version with slow beat 7750 I would strongly advise you to swap it for an ETA, since the old slow beat 7750 have design flaws which servicing won't fix.
Good luck!
@Corgi: A Cartier Santos is not my cup of tea, but would be an excellent choice if it fits your style. But weren't you the one with the nice dressy VC?
Thank you very much rek001. I really appreciate it.
Regards.
On such a special occasion as your wedding, please, no sports watches. It ruins the elegance of a tuxedo. It's time (no pun) to dress up, and your watch should be something sleek & elegant, and understatedly luxurious.
My suggestion - Cartier, Patek, some of the JLCs.
Congrats to you and your fiance.

What would be the best possible method/process without the customs risk, etc.?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
