  2. I think Andrew is already located in CN so he does not drop ship...

I need to vent my anxiety folks... :2:

There's a lot of crowd during Christmas season. Order 2 watch on 9 dec. still not receive my tracking, usualy, I receive my tracking 2-3 days after buying. I email Andrew last week to be sure that I didn't by accident skip/delete an "important" email, if you know what I means, ask me to be patient, he will send it soon. I begin to be little  about all this. Andrew is a drop-shipper or not?

I just hope to receive them and have time to prepare them for the next chief AR runs

  3. Thanks...can you send me a link on ebay where I can get the eta 7750?

didn't care about till now, but let's make a calclation:

    $288 @ andrew ~ $30 for shipping

    $280 @ ebay for ETA7750 + $12 for shipping

    $55 @ k2222 for AR + $20 for crystal installing

    -----------------

    ~ a little less than $ 700,-

... I think it's worth every cent. :good:

  4. yesterday I received back my case of my 3717 from k2222's 3rd DoubleARrun :D

after putting it together again it looked like he forgot to put back the crystal into the case...

... but when I tried to touch the dial I realized that k222 did a really great job!! :D

Played around with my gasgasbones strap - and I like the look.

I think I've finished now: 3717 with gen. swiss ETA7750, gen. ETA DayDate wheels from cousins, DoubleAR by k2222. Or has someone suggestions for my next mod?

Wow! Very nice...how much did you spend all in all with the mods? I think the last mod you can do is the superlume...

    Looks great!!!

As a last mod you could change the brass subdial pinions for silver like the gen has........

    Who can do this mod??

  5. Hi Stephane, very nice watch indeed...

Im curious, how much have you spent on this watch with all the mods plus the ETA movement?

    Dear All,

Recently I started a thread looking for advices about straps for the IWC 3717.

Some very nice members gave me advices here.

I must say that I didn't follow most of them (I couldn

  7. Are the old asian version still available? Im looking for the ETA 7750 movt and it seems I cant find one. There is one on ofrei.com but it is expensive (400$)

I guess I will just have to settle for the asian version then if nothing comes up.

    Thanks scoobs!

If you go for reliability I would advise you just to service the movement the rep comes with. All unserviced movements - either ETA or Asian - are a bit of a gamble. Besides that, if your watch doesn't have a slowbeat Asian 7750 (nearly all the new ones have the high beat) it is not a 1:1 swap. The hands won't fit and need to be glued someway. In the end it'll cost you extra money. Money that you also can use for servicing the original movement :)

However, if you do have an old version with slow beat 7750 I would strongly advise you to swap it for an ETA, since the old slow beat 7750 have design flaws which servicing won't fix.

    Good luck!

@Corgi: A Cartier Santos is not my cup of tea, but would be an excellent choice if it fits your style. But weren't you the one with the nice dressy VC? ;)

Thank you very much rek001. I really appreciate it.

    Regards.

On such a special occasion as your wedding, please, no sports watches. It ruins the elegance of a tuxedo.

It's time (no pun) to dress up, and your watch should be something sleek & elegant, and understatedly luxurious.

My suggestion - Cartier, Patek, some of the JLCs.

Congrats to you and your fiance.
