  1. I like it. It definitely has a more distinctive look than the Superocean line.
  2. Congrats. Amazing stuff...and what a token to remember a great milestone.
  3. The problem is...most of the dealers aren't taking PP anymore...
  4. Cranberry mojito. It's been cool and cold...so why not something a little cool to remind you of summer. We muddle up some fresh cranberries with the mint and sugar and lime and rum...strain it and add the soda water. Yum...and somewhat wintery with the cranberries.
  5. Great bump. Yeah...the Skyland in any version is a great watch. I love it!!
  6. Interesting...what a shame...as the clasp design is really cool.
  7. I convert them to PDF and save them!!!
  8. Don't forget the framing hammer, bubble gum and Sawzall... Awesome stuff!!
  9. First try? Very nice!! Nice watches...nice pics. Thanks for sharing!
  10. Sixx...I didn't know...crap...hope you're ok bud. I know you...you little weasel, trying to get the nurses to sponge bath you again. You know I'm here for you!
  11. Welcome aboard. You did indeed find the best watch forum anywhere...gen or rep...and the friendliest.
  12. Wow...looks fantastic. How many compasses did you scrape down????
  13. Swiss to Asian is one thing for a standard A7750. Cost for a Swiss 7750 varies between $275 or so for the older 17j ones (which were definitely made in Switzerland) and upwards from $350 for the newer 25j ones. A watchmaker will charge about $150 or so to do the swap which will involve broaching and gluing hands where necessary. Servicing for $60 is CHEAP. If that's a complete strip down, cleaning, oiling and rebuilding...that's about 25% of the standard rate!! The issue like indyberetta mentioned is that the APs have the seconds at 12 mod done to the A7750...and I don't think that adding the mod plate is a straight addition that can be done to a Swiss movement...so your only option is likely servicing. I'm not sure on this...but I haven't seen this being done before from what I remember.
  14. Hey...big congrats Hack and Red...excellent...and great contributions they have been. You both have been amazing contributors to this place...and people I enjoy reading posts from. Keep it up...and great to get to know you.
  15. Great. Where did you find it?????
  16. I think the BCE is definitely the classier watch...beautiful. The SOSF is a more utility piece...so it depends on what you need in your collection. Given you have an Omega Bond...I would go for the BCE...as the SOSF is in line with the Omega in terms of style grouping.
  17. Amazing post. This is probably the clearest explanation I've seen of the assembly of these things. Awesome.
  18. Very nice. A dumb question if I may...how do you get the straps on and off on the fixed bar watches??
  19. I love my old one. Not only is it a fantastic rep...it has "sentimental" value in the rep world for me as it's the one that started it all for me here!
  20. The Zigmeister is your guy. Look for his lume work on this site for examples of what he does!!
  21. That's a great looking piece. Again...thanks for spending the time to write this up.
