  1. Francisco did it: Solution to the Sunken DW on a 7750 It wasn't easy to find! Luckily I had it archived on my PC.
  2. Yup...there are some great mid-priced strap options out there...and higher priced options as well. I don't mind the Breitling ones...better of the rep straps IMHO. Others don't like them...but the key is...you need the strap to get the deployment and/or buckle... If you have PAMs...straps are half if not 3/4 of the fun!!!
  3. That's the one he has...but he doesn't need the website.
  4. Where's the best place to get Krusty slippers??? I have a dial waiting for this mod...want to do it right. I look forward to Part 2!
  5. This is a funny one for me...love it in the photos...amazing...and most watches I see in person I think are better than the ones I see in pics...but in this case, having looked at the this very watch yesterday in gen form at the A/D on the mesh bracelet, I wasn't as keen on it as I thought I would be. It's beautiful...don't get me wrong...perhaps it looks as good in person as it does in pics...unlike the orange and black UN MMD which to me looks way better in person than it does in pics. Great watch though!!
  6. Hah hah...I forgot it was you Red that posted this...thanks for the heads up!! Glad it arrived O/S.
  7. It does look good...good price too, but I want the Breitling deployment clasp that comes with the OR strap...much cleaner looking methinks. Good pic though...much better than the standard Breitling rubber.
  8. I'll search the forum later for you...I know there have been posts of them somewhere...I don't have one...but I'll try and dig some pics up.
  9. I usually wear my watch on the right hand...so no problems...until I got a Destro Pam...and notice if I wear it low or loose, that it will hit the wrist exactly as you speak of. Tightening it a bit and wearing it higher up solves the problem.
  10. Nice piece...really nice piece...and great photos. These RB Roo's are the only ones to really grab my eye. Thanks!
  11. Wow...that's about as good as they will get...I want a 2893 engined IIc too!!! With the gen parts? Amazing.
  12. Do it...definitely one of the best of the whole AT line. Fantastic watch...still wearing my Ziggified one as I type...and comfy!!!
  13. GEEEZ Zig...that is brutal. I'm not sure if the whole EOS line is geared towards pros...or just their L series lenses...we used to joke it was only the lenses that were grey that were worth looking into...either way, no dust-free facility for working on lenses is freakin' brutal...unbelieveable.
  14. Nose (enophile related...not body parts)
  15. Very interesting...great suggestion and a good write-up. I agree with bmedude...the housing should be underneath the CG it self...buried in the lever so nothing should be visible!!
  16. Wow...didn't realize a PO crystal would fit on that. As to the date mag lens...I'm not sure who has them...but I have seen people doing an upgrade on them. I would suggest posting a topic requesting info on an improved date mag lens for a PAM. So far though, the crystal looks good!! Creative work!! You could also send the crystal out now for the Chief's AR if you wanted before the datemag gets glued on! Sorry I don't have any more info! Interesting post though...thanks for that.
  17. Spring Drive engines are awesome...that's a great looking watch, but I haven't seen one in person yet...looks burly!!
  18. It also depends on if you are looking for an aftermarket unbranded strap, gen exotic leathers, branded rep straps or OEM straps. Bob straps are in Europe somewhere...and apparently has exotic skins too...TWB is in Canada and does leather and exotic skins...there are a number of European strap makers listed in the Links section if I recall correctly. If you are looking for rep branded straps...those are best had through the Asian dealers.
  19. Welcome to the forum Bolo. It's a totally legitimate question. Any of the dealers listed in the dealers section of the board are the recommended dealers on the web for high end reps at reasonable prices. All dealers on the web have issues...but these guys overall stand by their products and are the best in the industry. The real question for you is which version of the DSSD to get!! Look for pictorials and write-ups using the Search engine or cruising through the Rolex section and you'll see there about 4-5 different versions...pick the one you need!! Some are more expensive than others and of course more accurate...others are super cheap and pretty cloes (like the $118 Asian engined cheapo models). Read the Noob Guide linked in my signature to get you started with rep watches and you'll hit the ground running. The forum is all about sharing information and experiences...so we hope you enjoy the great community of watch enthusiasts here on the board and can share your experiences and thoughts.
  20. Love it G...it's definitely one of my faves...in fact I'm wearing mine now. I didn't think much of the 2007 one initially...but when I ended up buying one on a whim...fell in love with it when it arrived. Nice pics as always.
  21. Hey B...just saw this after my PM to you. Hah hah. Great write-up...keep 'em coming. The MB's are truly under-rated...another one of those pieces that looks a level up when seen in person!!
