  1. Great post Robbie...hope you're on the mend. Hope to see you back in action!!
  2. And lots of people to help pick up the pieces should you fall...I get first dibs on anything good and cheap!!!
  3. Funny R...I put on my grey dial Skyland as well...just have it on the brown moo-croc though. Great minds think alike!!
  4. WOOOWW!!! The Panda dial is the one I wanted. Awesome... Is that a gen handset and rep dial? I don't recall a gen dial being sold in the panda version (or reverse panda I guess with white on black vs. black on white).
  5. Not sinister...naughty and nasty maybe...but definitely not sinister...
  6. The blue will be a combination of the colour balance of the picture, and the blue cast of the AR on the crystal. It's a nice piece.
  7. What HackR said DL said that Max said that Lani said that Astro said that Delta said....+1. If you want to avoid problems...increase your credit card limit now.
  8. Wow...love projects like these...47mm...it's a BIG project.
  9. Hey A...glad to see it coming to fruition!! Good stuff...I wish you well on this!
  10. Very interesting R...that one has attitude!!! Sssssss...
  11. You will need new hands to go Swiss and to transfer the datewheel overlay if there is one, or source a new datewheel as well.
  12. HackR the Python King!! Great pics Tonio. A word of caution on the rep moo croc strap...run your fingernail along the plastic lining edge and the black latex paint edge to trim off the little bit of overlap of the latex pain so it doesn't leave hairy bits as it wears down. I've found the inside lining actually wears surprisingly well. It softens up over time and will weather and darken a bit with use. I would also recommend The Watch Boys for decent priced gen croc straps.
  13. Welcome aboard Timo. If you have a couple months of reading under your belt, you're well on your journey from Noob to Master. Personally...I still consider myself on my journey from Noob to Less-Noob. Glad to have you aboard.
  14. I think I'm done sometimes...but yup, as soon as something is coming back from the servicing or a new purchase the wait gets me excited again. Sometimes even just ordering an accessory for the watch (a camera filter, photo studio, whatever) will get my excitement renewed. As to #1, I find reading the posts here on RWG, the reviews I get fuelled by other people's excitement and start getting intrigued by things I never thought I would look at 6 months ago.
  15. I haven't seen replacement SMP Chrono pearls sold separately. You can go the gen route on the whole beze + insert + pearl, or there are a few places that sell aftermarket inserts or pearls. I'm not sure the quality though. I know in Canada H.W. Perrin have an aftermaket insert and pearl but I have yet to try one.
