Welcome to the forum. I'm sure you probably have read my Noob Guide if you've been doing searching here. I'll be quick here: P4GTR's PAM with standard rep strap With Strap Culture strap Strap upgrades impact PAMs a lot. I'm interested in one PAM too...thinking more along the lines of a 239 Destro or a 310 if they ever make one.

Good to see you back in action Pete. Here's RobbieG's one for the benchmark to shoot for (now owned by Adrenalin): RobbieG's From King King also has the model with the silver numbers and silver chrono seconds...but Robbie's is the benchmark so I would shoot for that. Watcheden's...looks the same as Robbie's Nice Replica Josh's - Looks the same too I couldn't see any differences immediately other than making sure to get the right hand colour...but King sells them in different hand colours. I've seen one site say White Gold, and another SS...I'm not sure about that...

Weekend Wristcheck 04/03/09 - 04/05/09
Toadtorrent replied to Andei3000's topic in General Discussion
Go Andei. Good job on starting the Wrist Check and welcome to the forum. -
It's funny how some things trigger loosely related threads...but that pic, even though it's an Omega on rocks, vs. what would be a Rollie on Sand, immediately makes me think of:

Service Requirements for movements in Long-Term storage?
Toadtorrent replied to TeeJay's topic in General Discussion
If the movement is not moving (in other words not in a winder for 15 years), there will be no wear on anything so you won't have to worry about the parts wearing out. Assuming it's not in a high humidity environment and the watch is reasonably sealed, there shouldn't be any rust issues. The Zigmeister has said that grease/oil gums up over time with or without usage and that's why it needs to be replaced over time regardless of use. So, likely a servicing in 15 years is what it will need...essentially changing out the old grease and oil and replacing the seals which will have dried out. -

It all depends on the terms of the contracts of the endorsement. Really...it all depends on who wants who the most, when it comes to settling on who will make concessions on the agreement. Craig has enough cache in his own right, he may have demanded a non-exclusive representation clause and they had to accept it, because they wanted the product placement in the Bond film specifically...not on Craig.

Beautiful pics as always Freddy. Thanks for that.

I would contact a Dr., nurse or a local epilepsy support centre for that one.

How are the bezels held in place on sub reps?
Toadtorrent replied to Prsist's topic in The Rolex Area
I don't have a list...but if you search for bezel removal in various search terms on the Subs as well as modding GMT possibly with the keyword "transformer". They showed a couple examples of the Sub cases (usually Noobmariners) having their bezels removed. -
The waiting is hard. The best solution is to order a lot more...so you lose track of what is supposed to come in and when. I had one order from another member on the board that took months! I never worried as I knew the member was a stand up guy...and it ended up he was asking me if I had received the item because he had not heard from me. I told him it had not arrived...and a week later it did. Some times the post is slow...sometimes its fast. In this case we agreed on cheap slow shipping from Australia to Canada...apparently...this was literally on the slow boat.

I got a corrected caseback from Peter...and it was fine with the serial number in the right location. All is well. The differences in the finish of the V2 vs V3 caseback are minimal. I just got bad QC on mine with the engraving of the back.

I see the link got edited. Sixx is sort of right. Like I said above...I have seen low end versions of that series...but nothing to write home about. Silix has yellow and orange accented AT's with the rubber strap, non-chrono on his cheap site for 46 EUR...or was that 76EUR: I have not heard of anyone buying these. To be honest...I've been tempted by some of these El Cheapo ones.

Post a pic...the url pasted just goes to the main site...and it looks like it opens on the 2009 collection which hasn't been released in rep form. If you're talking the Automatic 2000: or the Deep Two: These were just released in 2009-Jan, have not been released for sale I don't think, and will take at least another 6-9 months before they get released in rep form...and there's no talk yet, whether or not they will be. I would give TeeJay's hair for a Deep Two rep...but I'm not sure if this will be one that gets picked...because of the membrane depth gauge complication.

I haven't seen a high end rep version of one. I've seen lots of lower quality ones on the cheaper sites ($100 non-chronos). You can try contacting Watcheden or Hont...they might be able to get these for you. Send a picture to them and see if they can get what you want. Watcheden has this one:

If you want it long lasting...factor in a movement servicing. $200! That will make the watch as reliable as a gen if the service is maintained. Without service...the watch could last many years without service (there are lots that are going strong after 5 years on the forum)...but others who have had them die in a year. The movements are notoriously dirty and dry...and feeling how things wind and how quiet the rotor spins AFTER servicing makes me think it a good move...albeit an additional cost.
