Also all the larger size Bentleys, and Cartier Roadster chrono to name a couple more

Mind you it probably only cost Bulgari a few thousand dollars at the most to make the whole lot...

Either the dealers need to find some better built spares in a hurry or you need a jeweller with a micro welding setup. Its probably not a difficult job to re-attach the parts if you have the appropriate gear.

Happily mine is still intact and survived a twist test.

I think its more a case that they have repped every possible Panerai model.. you could literally collect the entire Paneria collection in reps with very very few gaps..

You can't adjust the hand positions. It will require the hands to be removed and then re-installed in the correct positions.

Sometimes the better quality aftermarket pins have better more substantial threads which will bite where the replica ones won't. Its worth trying before you write off the case.

I'm part way through my first deal with Paul for ages.. and so far its all pretty good. Have just got the tracking number. Communication has been slow but steady.

Btw the Wo-mart hotmail address tends to overload so if you're sendin WU info back to them make sure its actually sent and you don't have a failure notice sitting around in you in-box. I had to re-send the info a couple of time before the message would deliver.

btw Paul is hardly the only dealer here to have sold watches with 2892's that turned out to be Seagull's. Many of the biggest name dealers here have done the same.

Well its does have the sail number of one of the old New Zealand America's Cup yachts on the dial (NZL-32).. so its not all bad!!!... got to love the printed on yachting timer though

The case back engraving looks very weak.. like its just laser engraved on the surface on the metal.. its should have more depth.

The planet ocean picture was a timezone joke.. but there really is a 007 limited edition Planet Ocean coming soon.. as of today no pictures have been seen yet although timezone does have a post listing its part number.

Try to use a different name and address next time just in case you've made it onto some kind of watch-list somewhere.

Other dealers have used the same picture set as well.. just without the water marks.

Keep an eye on ebay, your local auction site or local classified sites or news papers. Old retiring watchmakers are often selling used gear at really good prices.

I've picked up loads of good professional gear for a fraction of the new price. Sometimes it needs a little work but most watchmakers take good care of their gear so usually its all in great condition.

A Jaxa wrench on watch they thought was genuine???? damm don't get anything good serviced there. Even enthusiasts like us have Bergeon 5700 bench mounted openers to open and close our replica cases...

I brought a watch from Neil (TTK) only a month or so back with one fitted. I suggest giving him a try.

In the past genuine bezels have not fitted Omega reps as the rotation and click mechanisms are different.

The after market bezel inserts do usually fit though.

The MBW's use a stick on date wheel over the regular ETA wheel on the movement. You could probably remove this and re-glue it in the correct position.. but be warned, it's a lot harder than it sounds.

wow.. nice pics. Unusual for any detail drawing from Rolex to get out in the wild so these are a good find. It would take a long time to understand how it all fits together from them though...

My main concern with the Navitimer GMT is how the GMT funcation has been added to the Asian 7750 base movement. We've seen The Zigmeister's review recently of the GMT parts added to the 2836 in the latest Rolex GMT's.. they were crap.

The real watch incidently uses the ETA/Valjoux 7754 movement which is a factory built GMT version of the 7750.

Check out the womens models in most genuine brands.. you will find a whole lot of quartz movements. Simple reason.. they sell better. 99% of women couldn't care less what movement is inside.. and in fact hate the idea of having to reset the time if they leave it off for a weekend.

If your girlfriend loves a quartz rep but it for her.. she'll love it. The real one is probably available in quartz anyway.

Use a pin vice to remove the old one and you'll almost always be able to re-use it. You can get cheap pin vices at most electronics stores if you don't want to buy an expensive watchmakers one.
