  1. Kuvarsit has some loyal devotees on the forum. My own conclusion was that much of their stuff is the same and that when there are differences (they used to have a better looking DLC coating for the 360 or one of the other DLC models) you have to look very carefully at whether it is better or worse than the Cartel model. I alwasy found some elements were improvements and others worse than the standard. I am sure some of the folks who follow their stuff more closely will chime in.

  2. That price for the Iphone in your neck of the woods is crazy. Can you get a prior generation for a lot cheape over there? I do have to say that most people stick to the operating system they have been using. Android folks stay Android and Apple folks are fanatics.

  3. In the past the admin team has always debated long and hard before adding another section as the opening and brand pages pages of the web site can quickly become too cluttered. My initial thought when I read this is that Tudor is a subsidiary brand of Rolex and that in truth beyond a few vintage models there aren't a lot of new developments. I do love seeing the projects when people show them of course. Other than iterations of already existing vintage models (snowflakes, roses, and baseball plate models) does anyone anticipate there will be newer models that are coming out? This is my 2 cents and not based on any discussion by the admin team.

  4. Take a look back but I believe he had some sort of crazy sale relating to that particular Ebel watch and it was substantially cheaper than the original price. I don't know if the $268 is the original price and it is substantially less (ergo the no QC pics) or that reflects the marked down one. You might just shoot him a PM or email and ask what the price currently is.

  5. There have been many posts in the past about how different the definition of servicing is. It varies from the infamous "swish and dip" to a real proper movement breakdown and oiling. If you have someone you trust at least you know what you are getting. :)

  6. When it comes to recreating tritium dials my approach has always been to find a gen watch with a dial "condition" I like and go from there. I have owned a number of vintage Rolex gens over the years and the puffiness factor has always been fairly random. But I do have to agree that a number of the rep vintage dials are just way too puffy. IMHO, when tritium degrades it is more likely to flake off and leave non-symmetrical markers rather than puffing up. The other thing is that often people take too aggressive an approach in browning their tritium. But once again, find that gen you love and mimic that. :)

  7. I have never heard of offering two different quality case backs based on the movement. I would guess it is two different pieces and factories or he got a hold of an earlier version from the original factory for cheap. I have never sen the rep but have certainly seen numerous gen Laureus watches. And of course the engraving is true engraving rather than laser etched so it does show up noticeably darker.
