  1. I mentioned some time ago that I felt an individual daily wrist check was overkill. it used to be Start, Hump and weekend, also the lack of a grading system is disappointing as that what drew me to RWG in the first place and the ease at which you could give a star to people and it made more fun and interactive. Personally I've had issues with seeing imageshack thumbnails on my new mac at home so choosing a picture has actually been near enough impossible , but now occasionally it works randomly so I will put some more effort it. But my personal feeling is that RWG is just a far too intimidating place for the noob to venture these days, I notice that on the other forums that cheap cheerful watches are welcomed and congratulated on, but over here that sort of thing just doesn't happen that often, and if it does more often or not it is criticized. I wish it was different and that people would post their unusual and interesting reps , when was the last time someone got their Picot , Millie, Graham or Dubuis out or something that was just out of the box or less than $150 job . I think we are all missing out , which is a shame. Sometimes I think Watcheden has more interesing wrist checks than the main forum. anyway It was about 32c here today , right nice and toasty
  2. You're right dude serves me right for looking on my crack-berry. it either needs pushing in or something. Id ask if this could be a one off or if its how they come'
  3. I think these a great , wish I had the spare funds to indulge. There is an AD here in Sydney and the reps look spot on. The AR maybe a bit blue but everything else is pretty good.
  4. Couldn't agree more , the ungrateful nature of some makes me wonder why the rep makers bother, its a 200buck rep and what other choices are there, its not perfect but for most people it will be a welcome addition to their collection and represents bloody great value , I would happily wear one and No One would ever call it out. Stop sucking the fun out of the hobby guys , its a cheap Ti we should be Hi5'ing & not raining on the parade, and its christmas Come on Enjoy it whilst we can
  5. Now that's a pretty big statement that you wont see everyday
  6. I'm still not convinced by this, I really wish I was pumped by this as I like DP alot and VG's were a large part of my youth, and though I saw the original I thought it was a bit dull, though I though the same when i saw Bladerunner teh first time , ( I was 11) and i love that film and have seen it 10 + times. Be keen to hear what you think of it and if its suitable for a 7 year old?
  7. Well I never knew that about the screws. Because of the brushed nature of the case the screws are a definate contrast. I think they look ok but I suppose you could give them a polish or even a plate if you really want to. You'd have to be really a ROO expert to know though.
  8. All the reviews have been nothing but glowing on the 288, I doubt yours will be any different and if there are any massive issues I'm sure Josh will sort it, worry not just enjoy the watch for what it is.
  9. I don't have a review but I can let you know what its like. First be prepared sec@12 can be temperamental, had to get mine looked at , it now it works fine and dandy , but the second hand just wasn't smooth or consistent when i first got it, though the watch appeared to keep time. The strap they come with is rubbish, brown doesn't seem ever to be able to work if its cheap. Black rep straps are passable , Brown especially crocs and gators look cheap and scream fake. So if inclined you will need to factor in a new strap these are not cheap 150$ + . The newer Safari with the Cream/off white dial and lighter subdials is the one to get. ROO's demand attention, they are big watches that draw your eyes to them, so be prepared that people will check your watch out. Saying that the Safari out of all the ROO's, is perhaps a more subtle varient; less Show'y that the others. Mine's on a HKTan Hornback and I dont wear it everyday but I still think its a good watch to have in your collection, they are very well constructed and a high quality build. ST4
  10. Dude I don't want to rain on your parade , same pic an description

  16. Agree with Hack. Hublot is what the ladies like
  17. I really like the black chrono. Very minimalistic but a good size I think they are 42-44 Yeah a rep would be sweet. Alas I doubt it will happen though
  18. What"s wrong with an LE? Very few will know what type of watch it is? most that look at mine say they have never heard of the make "Luminor"
