  1. Nice looking watch for sure, if you like it go for it
  2. I'd have to say its A lot gay , but its OK
  3. Try Chrome I rarely use anything else these days. And +1 on the firefox dis, I never liked it but the techies love it for some reason
  4. HMMMMM interesting, Id be quite happy to buy the rep of this , it makes a change not to have quartz written on the dial
  5. Blimey and I thought I had some issues but you guys have written 3 pages on 1.5mm's of metal. I say hand it over gents bound to end in tears otherwise. I had similar issues with my 022a CG it the one I got didn't even have a lever so I had to use one from another crown. I found a good jewller told him what a I wanted and a few days later and 50 bucks all was good with the destro world. I know a bit of self modding can be very satisfying, but it can also be very painful. Why feck it up when you can pay someone to do it properly. That's my 2mm anyway
  6. Anychance of getting the Ratings back PLEASE
  7. A great set and love that lume shot. Where are those 2 darker straps from? both Bobs? is the 201's croc from BOB ? they are very nice
  8. I would say no, not to PT but the version you've chosen. The Non Functional PR ones seem to be better, I have the grey (white gold) 5004, its a good looking watch and closer to the gen despite the crown tube issues. The version you picked from PT has the recessed date wheel still. I didn't even there was a Bartorelli that was 2 sub dial version of the pilot , apparently the gen is titanium as well
  9. Im feeling those Monclers as well , bit over the top for over here right now maybe next winter
  10. That is a cracking looking watch you got yourself there, good work
  11. Great looking watch and good choice on the strap. Looks really good you must be very pleased
  12. whats so amazing is the wheel cover has come off and the pictures are posted proudly
  13. My crown stripped within a month of ownership, had a gen tube crown added and 2 years on its still going, changing the straps is a pain the ar5e though i keep mine on rubber
  14. I hear you but when I tried to do the spring bar approach I found that because the strap was so new and lacked any flexibilty it was not possible push the spring bar in far enough for it to catch. I'm not suggesting using industrial sized pliers just small ones just to he'll get in moving through the claso to start with. Those rep straps are pretty hardy. You may find taking the strap off of the case and fixing it then put the strap back on.
  15. Yeah well if it works with one thing might as well use it else where I reckon, though I tend to only use the pliers when its a special occasion GET YOUR MIND OUTTA THE GUTTER
  16. Edzacery but I kind of think thats more reason to wear one
  17. Keep pushing where you are but Pinch and pull it really hard and then wiggle it until you get it to the right hole. I even used pliers once to pull it Its painful especially with a rep strap OEM are thinner and easier
  18. Are you serious? What about the community member that just shifted theirs for 25k on ebay? not much spirit there but plenty of cash DId I miss what it was remembering ? I thought it was more of a divisive offering separating the risti boys from the hoi poli . Do you feel the same way about the 195 then? Give it a few years we will have members trying to build a perfect version like the do for the 202a and then there will WTB for a V1 DSN dial.
  19. The thing is the TT watches themselves leave quite a bit to be desired, quality wise and as for after sales , there is none. Its a shame because previous projects look great and have been really well received and of good quality, perhaps the demand has out stripped the ability to supply or perhaps its something more serious with george. Though i do feel sorry for all the punters who have lost out I expect that poor BK must be getting it in the neck as well . Poor bloke
  20. mf11 try not to get to intimidated but what you might read on here, start cheap and work out what you like first before crashing head long in to the silly money realm. The fussiness on some for exactness of detail tends to zap the fun that can be had from a good cheap replica , my first pam was $120 fiddy and it was bloody great I loved it and a great introduction to the nightmare world of panerai obsession, trevor has been already mentioned, but you could try either of these to wet your feet . 111 or 112 , take no notice of the fun police around here , Cheap can be good and fun, so try not to worry about the details this early in the game. Hope this helps ST4
  21. the plot thickens, and there i was about to reply to a post of yours and BAM no connection,
