  1. Have yet to see the two versions side by side so cannot comment fully My poor Photographics skill don't help Each to his own I guess, This is the first DATE Pam I've had, guess its a toss up between Recessed seconds and Nice 6 L Swiss made L spacing or Date Font
  2. Agree the Font is good, but DSN's is not "all" that bad IMHO
  3. MJM Sorry but this has made me chuckle, funny how the details seem to draw us in. Before I saw the pictures I was like"Oh dear no recessed seconds!!" And granted it is not as deep on yours but its no means missing of flat like a 111. My advise would be get another PAM just save you money your 104 looks pretty good on that strap. Why don't you get DSN's new 240 and get one of his Dials for your 104. It may or May fit without modifications. I've a feeling you'll be lucky. What ever you do as you'll know you can never have enough Pams ST
  4. I WANT THIS ONE SO BADLY http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showto...58&hl=porno giorgio if you ever want to sell it please PM me
  5. That is looking very nice indeed. Wear it well ST
  6. I miss that patek But its looking good there
  7. Very interesting thanks for that. But pray tell where might that little beauty be headed? ST
  8. Welcome to the madness I think you'll find many members here in the US and further a field have all had smooth transactions from most of the dealers here regardless of where they originate I can remember the hesitation I had with buying my first rep a Rolex 1665 that cost me around $100 and is still I'm the box and gets worn from time to time. Perhaps you should aim low and cheap with your first purchase. Just to ease you in. Before you know it you'll be asking if you need that double AR and should you go for the 400$ version or the 800. Its only a matter of time Enjoy Hahahahahaha (wicked evil laugh) ST
  9. I was thinking the very same thing as I removed my Ceramic HBB from its box yesterday as soon a s it arrived. But when I see the sparkle in that ceramic and it change colour ...................who cares about the $$$$$$ I mean its a 12k+ watch, right? I really don't know what it is about reps, you are so correct that there are good value and high quality lesser brand gens to be had, but Reps have ther certain uncertainity about them that is compelling I guess. Good call on you Pam024, but how much more pleasure does it provide compare to your reps? of course its a better investment $wise and quality but is it a greater watch just because its authentic? because I get the same feeling from my Reps as do my Gen Tudors, even more so when they are new. The price of goods, what ever they are, seem to be on the up globally, I paid over $4 for a coffee in Starbucks the other day, I mean when did a coffee go over the 4dollar mark? and don't even start me on petrol/gas. Good reps are bound to cost a little more these days I guess Now go get that Big Bang, I can hear it calling your name
  10. I've heard somewhere that it can be quite common for the factrories to use movements with dates in non-date Rolex watches. My Bond'ish Sub, which i believe was originally from Silix' has the 3 click crown and feels very much as if the date wheel is still there, I have yet to check the movement. But it works fine as it is. ST
  11. Great watch, looks mighty fine to me Enjoy ST
  12. OH THATS JUST FINE AND DANDY I've been putting off reading this , for this very reason............................................................... because I knew it would JUST MAKE WANT ONE AAGGGHHHHHHH I had my nose pressed up against the window the AD in town today , lusting after these and a Railmaster I HAVE NO MORE ROOM IN THE BOX I know another box AWESOME REVIEW DUDE , tis much appreciated, sort of !!!!
  13. I always thought it was EEE TEE AYY, but read somewhere recently its Eta, one word. sorry to hijack this Pronounciation thread, but can someone confirm if HUBLOT is Pronounced Hugh Blow
  14. And there I was thinking I was a special case. Welcome back, don't stay away for so long next time and the urges may be less extreme. What can I say, I was TOLD to sell some. Got rid of 2 average Gens and 3 pretty good reps only to have to have 4 Reps on order pretty much as soon as the paypal money had cleared. And now I've found that I don't even have to buy new Reps because there are STRAPS. Ha ha ha ha ha ha Went on Holiday to come back to 4 Nato's and Gabo. WTF!!!! Grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change My name's Stormy and I'm a Repaholic
  15. Can't seem to shake this thing off Nice Aqua By-Tor , I've got to look at those Tag's some more
  16. Wow Awesome pictures and a few nice watches in there to ST4
  17. Come on now you've got to post a pic at least.
  18. Not sure if I'm more stupid for answering but here goes. Width 24/24mm Length 120/75mm At a guess
  19. Or you could use Eurotimez here as he has great Noobs
  20. DS Firstly welcome 2 the pam world Secondly what took you so long? Good questions Length of life depends on too many factors to put a figure on it. But even if I used my Greg Stevens strap everyday I would expect to last well over a year. So knock that idea on the head straight away. Saying that I've had some straps that have not seen the month out. But the leather was thin. A deployant on your Croc could be a good idea but most Pam folk prefer a buckle. As for cleaning there are plenty of leather cleaning products I'm sure. I've even used shoe polish on a Vintage MF 1942 and it comes up a treat. As I'm sure you're now aware Pams don't come in 1's and we are always searching for the perfect strap buckle combo. Best of luck. And look forward to hearing some of the answers you get ST
  21. Good Idea. I learnt that Gens don't fit the hard way!!! But they are a small feet of engineering given the spring loaded part. Best of luck I might partake if you get enough punters ST
