  1. Eurotimez has been good to me so far and good communication. Just got a great noobmariner from him he has an excellent selection of MBK's and I may be wrong but his prices might include shipping . Narrika has a good priced collectionBut if you want a great Pam then Davidsen DSN is your man his watches are great quality. You could always try member trades as wellHope it gets better.ST
  2. Putting the cat amongst the pigeonsThe carbon's I've seen aka 140 and 180 are neither. The numbers are metal poss goldAh the confusionST
  3. Agree, I was only thinking the same thing myself yesterday. Its a less aesthetically pleasing place without her and I look forward to her return. I need to see some nice straps.
  4. Item number 180229896949 I may be wrong, as I often am The Cannon pin is not looking to great? Is it GEN? its had quite a bit of interest ST
  5. Thanks for taking the time to review this It has become a tempting number. ST
  6. In what way do you feel the band is fake? I know that the edges are sometimes too sharp, but that can be worked on. If you think that it should be heavier, then I suggest you might want to look at the MBW straps, but the solid mid links are not true to an original strap. Of the 2 bay ones you mentioned the first is too old for a noob so the second version would be the better choice, but I doubt that it will be that different or better than whats on the noob. Just my HO ST
  7. WOW A beautiful family affair Enjoy ST
  8. That'll be me, I'm afraid I will be having to put my hand up for this one. (........TBC.......) ST
  9. If you are looking for a patek super rep, then the mbk/mbw's will have to do. But simple Calatrava's are pretty good, ok they are not platinum but there are some good ones. I've also had my eye out for an Aquanaut, the one I remember seeing on a rubber strap which was pretty decent from what I can remember. ST
  10. there's a nauty patek in brown
  11. Intersting thought Victoria Well first up would be the elusive Pam 27 and 28. I would really of liked to have got my hands on one of those. Fingers crossed 192 will be coming my way shortly. As for Blanpain there was once a nice fifty fathom out there wish those were around. Rolex wise Vintage Milgauss with the lightening hand. I think anything with a Hobnail type dial will always be appreciated and ltd. Can't help but think there should be more interest in Radiomir Chronos. Who can tell?? Well that's my limited wish list. ST
  12. It happens Dude. Did you lose the silver holder as well? I recently got 2 pearls from oferi.com. The were $10 each which + pp is quite a bit. The are just plain lum dots though. So no outer ring. If you need the ring I'm afraid I don't know. Do a search for bezel as I'm sure there are some post with links to goo value bezels. Else try fleabay I think watchoutlet is reasonable. If you do find another source do let us know. Cheers ST EDIT also the ioferi ones are quite a strong green lume, and mine seem to glow in the day, and yep foolishly somewhat I had to use supaglu
  13. if its not too much trouble that would be much appreciated, but I'm sure some of the good folks round these parts might already have and idea what it is. thanks ST
  14. Victoria? what have you unleashed upon us here? oh well, I will start off with a bit of "Fiddytime"
  15. I KNEW THERE WAS SOMETHING A MISS WITH MY 195 Ok what do the good folks think here Is there just too much space free on the back of this? Should I get my name put on it? would that just be too self indulgent? Has anyone had their own 195's personalised? What font does one use? Your thoughts, as amusing as they may be, will be appreciated Cheers ST
  16. Guys I understand your frustrations, going through a similar process myself. But there are some great folks on this forum, I've only been a buyer myself but have bought stuff from deltatahoe , Verbal Kint and toomuchgear and they have all been fun to buy from. There will always be one or 2 bad apples , but don't think they are all there is. ST
  17. Overture Not sure if youve given up the search for you rep yet Cartiers, Nice you could do worse than these i guess, they are quartz so easy to own , though you might want and auto http://www.trustytime88.com/index.php?main...076bffc9a7553db I recently saw one of these beauties and they rock http://www.trustytime88.com/index.php?main...076bffc9a7553db a mixture of masculine and feminine . The good this is the strap looks great and leather is easy to punch a new hole in if you need it smaller. I recently got a Tag link Diamond for a friends (so to be ex) wife. I had to get the starp adjusted for her which was a pain in the ar5e. Also she moans that it stops if she leaves it of for more than a day I like the explorer idea, but call me a typical bloke I reckon you should get one of these http://www.pc-80108.com/rlak10009-salmon-d...362-p-1681.html but Babes and Rolex's do get me, I she alot of ladies from the eastern suburbs with these and they look so good. Also i actually want this one myself so would be interested if its too pink for a guy? or is it salmon or rose. The prefect clones price seems a bit too expensive perhaps and i hear Riuby can do them anyway you want. Good like and look forward to hearing and seeing your choice. ST
  18. I may be wrong. But I'm a thinkin TMG's speedmaster is the real deal hence the envious looks I'm giving it.
  19. gabrielndg Welcome to RWG. All I can say is pull the trigger on the 118 asap. I was under the impression that these things were no longer around. So if you can get one go for it. Both are nice watches (they're PAM's). But if its your first one then I wouldn't go for the Chrono. I bet you'll never see anyone else with a Gen or Rep 118 ever. Though I was at a lawn bowls club on Saturday and there was a guy there with a 222 and he was checking out my 195, which was kinda odd. If you don't like it (once you've got a new strap for it). Just put it up for trade here I'm sure it will be snapped up in minutes. You just have to take the plunge. Enjoy ST
  20. Welcome to RWG, and a good first post. My 10 cents worth is IWC. Its different than the dare I say common garden Omega speedy, both sporty and dressy. I've got a black faced version and they really are a quality watch. Look forward to seeing which one you pick ST
  21. Must be a very Good Friday and a Darker Saturday
  22. Nice work Victoria you super sleuth. And Respect to Mr. Ramsey for choosing something a bit different.
