I think options from dealers are few , which is a shame given the recent 177's quality , but the black sandwich dial and the Ti combination is very austere and quite dull so a brown dial is preferable. Not sure if the cartel do those 36's still might be worth checking out one of those dials. 116 & 118 are pretty impossible to get unless someone puts one up in the trade section. Ive a 055 from davidsen , compared to the gen , which seem to have an almost black dial its a dreadful rep, but as a watch itself its really nice and of the 5 or 6 Ti's I've had its the one Ive kept. The Crystal Cyclop Mag and DW font are friggin awesome, the numerials have that nice expanded blur at certain angles just like in your photos. the CG is near perfect and that Bezel rocks . Yep the Crown is 1-2mm to low, but F#$k me is it really the end of the world? you hardly notice it when its on. Seriously for the money its quality , if you miss having the gen then its a great option. Oh did i forget THERE ARE NO OTHER 24A POLISHED BEZEL OPTIONS , no current dealer apart from DSN stocks them and this constant moaning about his watches is ssoooooooooooo boring

Its not that hard a job to try it yourself and can be fun if rather daunting at first. Try a sticky ball to get the case back off and a tooth pick to left the hand up.

Your crown may well have an adapter in it because I think it looks like one of the Turks ones and they may have been 0.9 for auto's so extra care might be needed and a new adapter required. There really doesn't look to be much left in there. Good luck but you may want to think about sourcing a new crown.

My DSN 195's PVD is pretty good, got a great texture to it , im sure its not to the same standard as Zig, Av's or even the new DLC but its supposed to be old skool . Mine looks darker though So perhaps he's changed the PVD mix or supplier. As for durability mines got a few scrapes on it that I used to worry about but now I think its more characterful. serves me right for taking it indoor rock climbing anyway . I reckon its a bit of a good deal at 280$ , its not to much for a nice base is it? Still reckon DSN needs abetter camera , as its like he's got vasaline on the lens for that soft focus look , or at least get some one to take better pictures , sure they could look better

I think it looks good, nice colour PVD & T-swiss-T looks sharp . Crown CG and CG pin all look nice . Given the space between the case and the strap I reckon DSN has got himself some new cases as well. As I mentioned on the 002 DSN is the "ONLY" off the shelf pre-V & A supplier and think he should be supported rather than slagged off for his efforts. Its probably not perfect but it would welcome on my wrist. ST4

Do you mean "base" as in no seconds? As the best is the current 219, but its a destro (lefty CG) . Your choices are limited to modern historics 002 sausage/painted ,112 Sandwich and 114 White . Most dealers carry them or try DSN for the Pre A's and V's. I have a 002 a/b its a great base.
