  1. Great post and a quality collection of watches and straps. I would really like to know if its actually DLC scratch proof , cos my DSN 195 has its fair share of scrapes
  2. Well nice, blue looks spot on and that lume look great, wonderful photos thanks for putting this together
  3. http://www.replica-watch.info/vb/forumdisplay.php/6497-6498-253.html
  4. My concern here is $, I think we've been spoilt with the good value of the 5's and 177 etc. You know knocking around the 200$ mark, But given this is a 7750 based watch is gonna be nearer 300. The 288 has been pretty spot on and Super Lumed. Angus needs to get that CG fixed for sure and find the right price point
  5. That's a cracker for sure and I'm sure you'll get asked about it a lot and be on the receiving end of some envious glances So the black subdials sit on or in the dial? Either way it looks great ST4
  6. OH well if thats the case we are buggered i doubt they will achieve that , a thicker top plate would give the same effect though ? right? Blimey Petes list is pretty extensive and valid , did you hear anything back from A yet? Were these similar issues with the 312 ? that he had on the website I thought that was a bit better lets hope so
  7. I know exactly what you mean, I have a noobmariner and a TT wm9 and both appear smaller the gens i see other sporting, I do think its a bezel thing. But its probably more illusionary and perception of what we are used to on are own wrists. I have the same think with panerais, ther is a guy with 113 in a Cafe near where i work and it looks much bigger and shinier than my 003. I think its like that Aesop fable about the dog and his reflection
  8. It was hard to tell what colour the hands should be fro you picture Pete This is a nice shot. As nice as the 359 looks to be the 320 is gonna be where I will sending my $$
  9. Definitely a steep in the right direct , bracelet looks good, though its not the sort of thing I will be able to pull off cos on stick thin wrists. Cant really tell if the font is too white , but to my ADD trained eyes it looks ok what are your thoughts Pete?
  10. Blimey , thats a bit special and cost a pretty penny for sure , Nice work
  11. Nice lume shot , very nice combo
  12. That is a quality looking watch, great buy you must be well chuffed
  13. Cloner4 these movements have the "I" missing its not squashed up next to the proceeding letter
  14. This really is an interesting mystery , it would be really good to know who and why? But it seems that speculation is all we have. So I reckon its another Forum looking to increase their membership
  15. Those are some mighty fine looking time pieces
  16. Been happening a lot for me today as well
  17. What do feel is wrong with the dial? it look ok from the picture Pete posted, granted the lever is a bit off and the DW font could be bolder, but the dial ?
  18. Just my thoughts Pete, I just think its sad that when a relatively new poster makes a post, that his point is addressed so nonchalantly and dismissively, when he should be commended for pointing it out. Though I care less about the finer details of my reps than some around here , I do not want to be categorised in a group that says that "don't" care as that frankly it isn't the case the case for me. I have not been around for "That" long and I have never noticed a manual wind unitas with this spelling so to me its an interesting find .I just want to encourage The inquiring mind of newish member and stick to the OP. Your posts Pete point towards the "other' flaws and the original Sales thread where as I am interested in movement thats all.
  19. Great photo and classy choice of PAM to, certainly wouldnt be kicking her out of bed for eating crisps
  20. MMK Firstly I'm sorry that some of the responses to your post have been Rude, somewhat disparaging and quite frankly hypocritical. A large number of us rightly or wrongly do care about these kind of details and kudos to you for spotting this. When I saw the post I did think that the movement was the best thing about this watch, I would of been a bit miffed if I only noticed when it was in my hands. The watch is a bit of mis-mash of models 36/61/177 etc but I do hope the new owner enjoys it for what it is despite its flaws. I'm surprised that this incorrect spelling hasn't been noticed before on other manual wind models. If the watch had been said to come from EL or Hopno then I'm sure the usual sycophantic w4nkfest would have ensued. As has been briefly mentioned, quite a few years ago a number of watches contained incorrectly spelt movements. These were on the 027/028 Power Reserves and the 029/063. Folklore says these came from Eddie Lee or Hopno but that just Marketing BS as most dealers could get them, I think PWC was the last to have them on his iOffer page, but that was at least 3 years ago. I started a post here a while back that has some great examples. These watches were expensive then $500 + and mainly because of the movements but these days those watches can command 2 or 3 times that amount. So the inquisitive part in me kind of wants to know if there is any connection between these types of movements and the one in the sale. I don't have the eye to tell if its a swiss movement or Asian but i hope its a swiss. Whatever $ we throw at our watches they are still reps at the end of the day. I think given the recent quality of the A7753's and the 005/111/177/219's etc we have all taken a hit on the value of our PAM collections. I kind of like the Flaws especially when they aint obvious like this misspelling, they add character and a part of the story. Cheers ST4
  21. The colour of these, the CG and the Crown all look fantastic , a bleedin bargain IMHO, there will be some very happy punters with this one
